As important as these tools are for the journey of discovery that the men in your group will undergo, your leadership is just as critical for bringing about real life change.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">You are the connection between the ideas that are being taught and the relationships that will help the ideas stick. Since the teaching content is on video, you simply play the DVDs and then facilitate the discussions or exercises as prompted on screen. Even if that\u2019s all you do, great things can happen in the lives of your men. But you also have an amazing opportunity to take your group deeper than they could ever go on their own.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The leader\u2019s guide in the video series kit will give you tips and directions for making the most of your time together. Of foremost importance is the influence you will have through leading by example. If you want men to think deeply about the personal exercises and during the group discussion, then make sure your effort matches what you want from them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Regarding group discussion times, remember the two Ts:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Transparency\u2014Be open with men about your own journey, including the struggles you have faced and the questions you have wrestled with. Of course, be careful not to share too much too soon, or you might shut down the guys who are hesitant to talk.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Trust\u2014Men will only go deep with those they trust. Start by asking yourself, Am I trustworthy? Can a guy believe that his secrets are safe with me? Also, establish the importance of confidence during the group discussion time.
