I wanted her to know she\u2019d hurt me. If I were being honest, I\u2019d have to admit that I wanted to wound her back.<\/p>\n

The more I licked my wounds, the angrier I got.<\/p>\n

So I did what any reasonable, mature, Spirit-filled woman would do: I hinted about it on Facebook. Just a short statement. It looked innocent on the outside, but truthfully it was anything <\/em>but innocent.<\/p>\n

I came up with several variations of \u201ctake that\u201d in my head before I landed on the perfect mixture of \u201cChristianese\u201d and \u201cwounded warrior.\u201d Then out it tumbled, for all the online community to see: \u201cLord, help me to have a forgiving heart.\u201d<\/p>\n

Mature, right? A prayer, even! Nice touch.<\/p>\n

As you can probably guess, my plan backfired. It backfired for several reasons, but the biggest one was this: The so-and-so I was talking about \u2026 was my mom.<\/p>\n

She called me. You know, on the phone. Like a grown-up. It was weird.<\/p>\n

\u201cHeidi?\u201d my mom began. \u201cIf you have something to say to me, I wish you would just call me.\u201d<\/p>\n

Sure \u2026 I suppose I could <\/em>have done that. But talking about it on Facebook seemed safer, easier, and just as effective.<\/p>\n

Don\u2019t you just hate <\/em>it when Mom is right?<\/p>\n
