So, are you getting enough sleep at night?\u2014you resting up?\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>\u00a0<\/strong>\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Dennis: <\/strong>Well\u2014\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Bob:<\/strong> I\u2019m just wanting to make sure.\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Dennis:<\/strong> \u2014for what? [Laughter]\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Bob:<\/strong> For what? For what is coming as soon as the closet door is opened and you are called upon to begin the massive exercise of transforming your home into Barbara\u2019s holiday emporium. [Laughter] \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>2:00<\/strong>\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t\u00a0How big is the closet?\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Dennis:<\/strong> It\u2019s not a closet, Bob.\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Bob:<\/strong> What is it?\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Dennis:<\/strong> It\u2019s a small storage unit. [Laughter]\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Barbara:<\/strong> It\u2019s <em>not<\/em> that big, you guys.\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Dennis:<\/strong> And it\u2019s <em>upstairs<\/em> in the storage unit.\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Bob:<\/strong> So you have to carry it down.\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Dennis:<\/strong> You have to carry it down and\u2014\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Barbara:<\/strong> \u2014and then back up.\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Dennis:<\/strong> Every year, I think it\u2019s going to cost me my life; you know? [Laughter] But I start carrying the boxes\u2014not long before or after Thanksgiving \/ somewhere in there\u2014I start carrying them out. I usually get done right before Christmas Eve. [Laughter]\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Bob:<\/strong> That\u2019s pretty continuous. Now, that\u2019s why I\u2019m wondering if you\u2019re rested up\u2014you\u2019re getting in shape for\u2014\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Barbara:<\/strong> Oh, you guys are terrible.\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Dennis:<\/strong> I\u2019m training for a marathon, Bob. I\u2019m training\u2014I\u2019m in training.\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Barbara:<\/strong> Let me just say that you two are terrible. That is <em>not<\/em> the truth. [Laughter]\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Laura:<\/strong> That is <em>not<\/em> nice. [Laughter]\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Bob:<\/strong> Dennis\u2019s wife, Barbara, back with us today\u2014welcome back.\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Barbara:<\/strong> You\u2019re welcome, but I\u2019m not sure I want to be back. [Laughter]\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Bob:<\/strong> You brought somebody along with you today.\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Barbara:<\/strong> I did. I brought our daughter, Laura.\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Bob:<\/strong> Laura, you are getting ready to celebrate your second Christmas as a married woman.\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>3:00<\/strong>\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Laura:<\/strong> Yes.\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Dennis:<\/strong> She\u2019s officially no longer \u201cjust married.\u201d\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Bob:<\/strong> That\u2019s right!\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Laura:<\/strong> No; when does that end?\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Dennis:<\/strong> At the end of the first year.\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Bob:<\/strong> Oh, I thought it\u2014\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Laura:<\/strong> No; Josh listens to this\u2014[Laughter]\u2014shhh!\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Bob:<\/strong> You want it to just continue?\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Dennis:<\/strong> You want it to continue?\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Laura:<\/strong> Yes! Celebrating <em>every<\/em> month\u2014we call \u201cmonthaversaries.\u201d We take trips\u2014unbelievable.\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Bob:<\/strong> How long did it take before you said, \u201cOkay; the honeymoon is done here.\u201d\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Laura:<\/strong> Yes; probably, you know, when we got back from St. Lucia.\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Bob:<\/strong> \u2014from the honeymoon.\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Laura:<\/strong> Right. [Laughter]\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Bob:<\/strong> As soon as the honeymoon was over: \u201cThe honeymoon was over.\u201d\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Laura:<\/strong> That was it. Yes; you\u2019d better close that box. [Laughter]\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Dennis:<\/strong> No; as soon as the boat they got in St. Lucia, it was over.\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Bob:<\/strong> That didn\u2019t help matters either.\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Laura:<\/strong> No.\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Bob:<\/strong> Well, we\u2019re spending some time talking about Christmas\u2014ahead of Thanksgiving\u2014which is, as we\u2019ve already talked about this week, been a \u201cNo; no\u201d up until this year. You finally just said: \u201cYou know, you can\u2019t stop from thinking about it.\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Barbara:<\/strong> Yes.\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Bob:<\/strong> \u201cSo we might as well, at least, help moms,\u201d\u2014and it\u2019s particularly moms because most dads are just doing the heavy lifting and carrying boxes from place to place. [Laughter] \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>4:00<\/strong>\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\tIt\u2019s moms who are already thinking about \u201cHow do I want to get my house ready for Christmas?\u201d\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Barbara:<\/strong> Yes; it is primarily moms and women, because we\u2019re the ones who think about decorating for the holidays. We\u2019re the ones who think about traditions, for the most part. We\u2019re the ones who do the things that we hope will make our family time meaningful and make the holidays meaningful\u2014and call everyone home.\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Bob:<\/strong> Laura, I\u2019m just wondering, \u201cAre there decorations that your mom has had out\u2014for years, and years, and years\u2014that kind of signal to you, \u2018That\u2019s my favorite,\u2019\u2014that\u2019s something that you look forward to?\u201d \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\tI know, in our house, stockings were a big deal and everybody looked forward to seeing their stocking again.\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Laura:<\/strong> Yes.\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Dennis:<\/strong> Nativity important at your place?\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Bob:<\/strong> Yes; nativity scenes\u2014having those available. Did you have any that were kind of your favorite decorations?\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Laura:<\/strong> Yes; well, I do love the stocking reference; because\u2014who made ours?\u2014Mimi?\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Barbara:<\/strong> Actually, I made yours.\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Laura:<\/strong> All six of ours?\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Barbara:<\/strong> All six of them.\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>5:00<\/strong>\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Laura:<\/strong> Amazing. The one thing that I was always excited about was the nativity set that my parents received\u2014every year, one piece of the nativity. It was always\u2014we would fight over it. Most of the time, I would win\u2014I was going to set up the nativity. Towards the end\u2014it\u2019s because I was the only one home \/ I was the only one that was there for Christmas.\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Bob:<\/strong> Your siblings said, \u201cTowards the end, it was because you were the favored child\u2014\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Laura:<\/strong> Right.\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Bob:<\/strong> \u2014\u201cand that was always the case.\u201d\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Barbara:<\/strong> Oh yes; they\u2019ve said that.\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Laura:<\/strong> Absolutely; yes. [Laughter]\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>\u00a0<\/strong>\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Dennis: <\/strong>And in the end, she just caved in and said, \u201cI am.\u201d\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Laura:<\/strong> I am. [Laughter]\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Bob:<\/strong> Barbara, when you set out to think about decorating your home for the holidays, you focused in on different names or different titles for Jesus. Lot of directions you could have gone in terms of the Christmas season\u2014telling the nativity story\u2014however you would have wanted to do it. Why the names or the titles of Jesus? Why was that something you focused on?\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Barbara:<\/strong> Well, I think it\u2019s because, if you don\u2019t do anything else, most people do <em>something<\/em> related to a Christmas tree\u2014it may be small \/ it may be big. \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>6:00<\/strong>\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\tSome people do stockings and all of that, and some don\u2019t; but pretty much, everybody does a Christmas tree. Because the Christmas tree is typically as tall as the ceiling, it becomes the focal point, by default, in your home during the holiday season. \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\tMy thinking was, \u201cIf everyone\u2019s going to put up a Christmas tree\u2014or the majority of people do\u2014then let\u2019s help them make that focal point \/ that decorative element in their home for the month of December\u2014let\u2019s make that declare who Jesus is.\u201d We decided\u2014I decided, after thinking it through, that I wanted to put His names all over the Christmas tree so that it would proclaim who He is.\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Bob:<\/strong> But you could have done angels, and shepherds, and sheep, and wise men, and those kinds of things; why names?\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Barbara:<\/strong> Yes; well, I think the reason the names are more important is because they tell us who Jesus is; and Christmas is about Jesus. Yes; it\u2019s about shepherds, and wise men, and all of that; but it\u2019s <em>really<\/em> about Jesus. \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>7:00<\/strong>\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\tI would have wanted these ornaments, because it would have given me something that I could teach my children with\u2014so I could say: \u201cHere, Laura, I want you to hang this name. Can you read and tell me what that name says?\u201d Depending on what her age was, she would be able to read it or not be able to read it. If she was three or four, I would have said: \u201cLaura, this is the name of Jesus that says Wonderful Counselor. Can you say Wonderful Counselor?\u201d I would have her repeat it; and then I would say, \u201cWould you like to hang that ornament on the tree?\u201d \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\tAnd for the older kids, I would read them the story that comes with it so that our decorating of a Christmas tree\u2014which most families do every year\u2014would then be transformed and would be about getting to know who Jesus is; because as we know His names, we know Him. The more we can know about His names, the more we understand what He came to do and why He came on Christmas Day in the first place.\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>8:00<\/strong>\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Bob:<\/strong> You\u2019ve now created almost three dozen ornaments with different names of Jesus and heard from families\u2014some of whom have decided, \u201cThis is the exclusive look for our tree,\u201d\u2014they\u2019ve set aside the snowmen and the Santa\u2019s; and they\u2019ve said, \u201cWe\u2019re going to focus on Jesus.\u201d\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Barbara:<\/strong> Yes; and so families have responded differently. I\u2019m grateful for these families who have decided to make their tree only about Jesus, but you don\u2019t <em>have<\/em> to do that. You can also put all the names of Jesus on the tree and add all of your balls, and your candy canes, and whatever else you want to do\u2014I mean, it really is up to you. \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\tThe hope is\u2014is that, as you hang the names of Jesus, there will be something distinct about that\u2014the way you do it\u2014as you teach your kids will be set apart from hanging the other ornaments on the tree. One of the ideas is\u2014hang all the names of Jesus first\u2014talk about who He is \/ talk about all His different names\u2014and then, maybe the next day or the next week, hang all of your other ornaments on the tree if you choose to combine them all on one tree. \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>9:00<\/strong>\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\tI think the goal is\u2014is that, by using the names of Jesus on your Christmas tree, it helps you make Christmas about Jesus.\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Dennis:<\/strong> I\u2019ll never forget\u2014about six years ago, about this time\u2014Barbara started creating this first set of the names of Christ. I asked, \u201cWhy are you calling it His Christmas Names?\u201d She said, \u201cWell, that\u2019s how God introduced Him to us\u2014first of all, in the Book of Isaiah, Chapter 9.\u201d \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\tI want to read this to you. If you think about it, God introduced Christ through the Prophet Isaiah to human beings by giving a list of His names. In Isaiah 9:6 it says, \u201cFor a child will be born to us, a Son will be given to us; and the government will rest on His shoulders; and His name will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Eternal Father, Prince of Peace.\u201d \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\tAnd later on\u2014in Luke, Chapter 2 and, also, in Matthew\u2014are the rest of the names that are listed in Scripture that Barbara took and created this list of Christmas names that declare who Christ is\u2014Jesus, Emanuel, Savior, and Christ the Lord. She created a booklet that moms and dads could read to their kids as you hang these ornaments on a tree, to declare the Savior who came to take away the sins of the world. Those names declare God, I think, to generations even today. It\u2019s a way God\u2019s given us, as parents, to pass on the truth about who God is.\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Bob:<\/strong> You said, with little kids\u2014three- or four-year old\u2019s\u2014you\u2019re really not trying to teach a whole lot. You\u2019re just making them familiar with or acquainted with the names. But when you take something like\u2014I\u2019m looking at one of the new ornaments you\u2019ve created for this year\u2014Jesus is the <em>Alpha<\/em> and <em>Omega<\/em>. \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>11:00<\/strong>\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\tIf you\u2019ve got an eight-year-old or a nine-year-old, is that something that you can help them understand?\u2014what it means that Jesus is the <em>Alpha<\/em> and the <em>Omega<\/em>?\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Barbara:<\/strong> Well, it is a big concept; no doubt about it. But I think that it is a way that you can begin to introduce the concept of eternity and the concept of Jesus having no beginning and no end. I would take that ornament and I would explain what the word, <em>Alpha<\/em>, means and what the word, <em>Omega<\/em>, means\u2014and just say, simply, \u201cJesus, even though He was born on Christmas Day, existed before He was born; and He will live forever,\u201d\u2014just something simple like that to help kids begin to know what that means. \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\tAnd you may have a dialogue with your child, and he may ask a question you don\u2019t know. You can say: \u201cYou know, I don\u2019t know what the answer to that is. Let\u2019s look up this verse and read it. Let\u2019s do some digging and find out,\u201d or \u201cI\u2019ll find out and let you know later.\u201d I think it\u2019s important to begin to help them grasp these concepts about who God is.\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>12:00<\/strong>\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Bob:<\/strong> And it\u2019s part of the reason for the booklet that comes with the ornaments\u2014\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Barbara:<\/strong> Correct.\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Bob:<\/strong> \u2014so that there can be some explanation \/ some dialogue that you help create as you read through that booklet. \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\tI\u2019m wondering about the one that calls Jesus the Eternal Father from Isaiah 9. It\u2019s an interesting thought; isn\u2019t it?\u2014that the Son is called the Eternal Father\u2014that that\u2019s a name of Jesus.\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Barbara:<\/strong> Yes; it is interesting. It\u2019s not that He <em>is<\/em> the Father, because God is called the Father and Jesus introduced us to God the Father when He was on earth. But the idea behind that is that the way Jesus related to His people\u2014to His followers \/ to His disciples\u2014when He was on earth was in a very fatherly way. He was protective; He took care of them; He fed them; He healed them; He guided them\u2014He did the things that God the Father longs to do with us. Jesus demonstrated to everyone\u2014when He was on earth\u2014who was around Him, what a father looks like. It was His way of relating to the people that was fatherly. Isaiah prophesized that Jesus would be our Prince of Peace and our Wonderful Counselor, and He would be our Eternal Father\u2014meaning He shepherds us as a father does.\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Bob:<\/strong> Yes; we\u2019ve got a link on our website at FamilyLifeToday.com to an article that addresses this issue of Jesus being the Everlasting Father\u2014and explains what you were explaining about He represents, relationally\u2014but it\u2019s also a declaration: \u201cHe is God. He is Eternal. He has always existed. He did not come into being, but He is eternal,\u201d\u2014it was clear to Isaiah\u2019s listeners when he said this\u2014\u201cThis Son who is coming will not be like any other son or any other king who has ever been born.\u201d \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\tYou also have an ornament that talks about Jesus is the Bright and Morning Star. What is that communicating to us about who He is?\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>14:00<\/strong>\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Barbara:<\/strong> Well, it\u2019s interesting. He makes that declaration in the very last chapter of Revelation about Himself; and yet, there are other references to Him being the star. The very first one is in the Book of Numbers, where there\u2019s a prophecy made about a star shall arise and the scepter shall come from Judah. It\u2019s a prophecy about the coming of Jesus\u2014He\u2019s referred to there as a star. \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\tThen, we know, in John, that He is the light of the world. We know that stars give light\u2014so there\u2019s some allusions and some hints of that woven throughout the Bible. Actually, Peter makes reference to the morning star arising in our hearts in 2 Peter. That, too, is an allusion to us letting Christ shine\u2014letting Him rise, rule, reign, shine\u2014through your heart and through your life so that others will see that He lives within you. It\u2019s something that\u2019s kind of woven throughout the Bible. \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\tI love the idea of that, too; because the wise men followed a star. \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>15:00<\/strong>\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\tAnd even though this is a different star than who Jesus is saying He is, stars are associated with Jesus throughout the Bible. I just think it\u2019s really cool that the star that the wise men saw rose in the sky and they followed it. It moved, and it took them to Jesus. Just the idea of following the star led them to Jesus; and if we follow Him\u2014if we follow the Bright Morning Star\u2014we will get to know Him. We will find Him as the wise men found Him. We will understand Him, and we will worship Him when we follow Him and the path that He leads us by His light.\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Bob:<\/strong> Laura, you would want to make sure that listeners understand that Clarence Odbody, the angel, was a star before he came to earth in <em>It\u2019s a Wonderful Life<\/em>. [Laughter]\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Laura:<\/strong> Yes; he was.\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Barbara:<\/strong> That\u2019s his last name?\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Bob:<\/strong> Odbody. Yes; he\u2019s an angel, second class\u2014that\u2019s right.\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Laura:<\/strong> Second class.\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Barbara:<\/strong> I remember the second class, but I didn\u2019t know the Odbody part.\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Bob:<\/strong> But\u2014\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Laura:<\/strong> Then he got his wings.\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Barbara:<\/strong> Oh yes; he did.\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Bob:<\/strong> And none of that\u2019s in the Bible; right? [Laughter]\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Laura:<\/strong> No; it\u2019s in <em>The Wonderful Life Bible<\/em> though\u2014that\u2019s for sure.\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Bob:<\/strong> That\u2019s a little different angelology. [Laughter]\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Laura:<\/strong> Absolutely.\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Barbara:<\/strong> I know; but it\u2019s a <em>great<\/em> story\u2014it\u2019s a great story.\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>16:00<\/strong>\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Dennis:<\/strong> Well, I\u2019ll tell you something that is in the Bible that\u2019s <em>fascinating<\/em> around stars and this kind of\u2014this is where the handoff occurs to us, as moms and dads \/ husbands, wives \/ grandparents. It is referred to in the Book of Daniel\u2014that those who lead many to righteousness will be like the stars that shine forever and ever.\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\tI don\u2019t know what that means; but when I look up into the Milky Way Galaxy, and I see\u2014who knows how many millions and billions of stars that forms the Milky Way\u2014I just wonder, \u201cHow will God turn us into those who shine like stars forever and ever because we led many to righteousness?\u201d And we began with our children\u2014introducing them to God \/ to the Word\u2014calling them to follow Christ\u2014to ultimately give their lives to Christ as Savior and Lord so that they might have eternal life and they might know the <em>Alpha<\/em> and the <em>Omega<\/em> \/ they might see the Bright and Morning Star someday.\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Bob:<\/strong> Now, Laura, we need a little reality check here; okay?\u2014because I know your mom has been working on these ornaments now for six years. I know you were grown and out of the house when she started working on them; but I\u2019m imagining that, when you were still home, as a teenager\/as a pre-teen, there would be times, during the Christmas season, when your mom would say: \u201cHere, we\u2019re going to do something together. We\u2019re going to do a craft,\u201d or \u201cI want to teach you something,\u201d or \u201cI want to read something to you.\u201d \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Laura:<\/strong> Yes; yes.\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Bob:<\/strong> And when she did that, you would always come and say, \u201cWhat is it, Momma?\u201d and fold your hands\u2014\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Laura:<\/strong> \u2014and sit down quietly and anticipate; absolutely.\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Bob:<\/strong> This is a reality check part.\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Laura:<\/strong> Yes. No; I was just listening to Dad share that. The way that Dad was describing that\u2014it built anticipation in me\u2014I was like, \u201cWhat is he going to say next?\u201d I think that is so cool about the opportunity that parents have. \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>18:00<\/strong>\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\tI\u2019m not a parent, but I am an aunt to 20-something odd nieces and nephews.\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Dennis:<\/strong> They\u2019re not odd.\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Laura:<\/strong> They\u2019re not odd. [Laughter] Twenty-something wonderful, precious humans that I still have an opportunity, as their aunt, to guide them in this truth, as well, and to present it in this way\u2014as: \u201cListen to this. This is exciting, and this is something you get to look forward to as you get older and you grow in understanding of who the Lord is.\u201d As parents, we\u2019re excited about this and your excitement will be passed down to your children. \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\tBut I think, when we were growing up, Mom\u2014I mean, she didn\u2019t have a visual ornament to show us during these times of teaching\u2014but she would. We would sit, and we would read the Christmas story, either Christmas Eve or we would read it Christmas morning, after or before we opened gifts\u2014it just depended on the age. I mean, we did different things every year; but we always tried to incorporate that tradition in. \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\tWhat I think is so special about these ornaments is that kids are so visual these days\u2014they look at screens \/ they want to look at iPad<sup>\u00ae<\/sup> games. \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>19:00<\/strong>\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\tThey want to <em>see<\/em>, and they want to be able to understand and touch. I think that\u2019s what\u2019s so cool about what Mom has done\u2014is that they can hold this. It\u2019s a representation of who Jesus is in a beautiful way. They can look at it every year\u2014like, \u201cMommy, I remember when you told me this last year.\u201d Maybe they won\u2019t; but as you build, every single year, and you remind them of the truth. You can build on it throughout the year\u2014you don\u2019t have to take these down\u2014you can hang them up on your doorknobs and you can leave them out, because they are so beautiful. They are timeless truths that you can teach to your kids, leading up to Christmas and all year.\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Bob:<\/strong> You mentioned that you\u2019re not a parent yet. Your mom and dad have asked me to ask you, \u201cWhen is that going to change?\u201d [Laughter]\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Laura:<\/strong> Did Dad ask you? Because he promised, yesterday, he was no longer going to ask me about it\u2014<em>unbelievable<\/em>.\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Bob:<\/strong> So, he\u2019s not asking you.\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Dennis:<\/strong> Look at my lips.\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Bob:<\/strong> He said <em>nothing<\/em>, but\u2014\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Laura:<\/strong> Lock it up! [Laughter] Maybe\u2014there\u2019s always next year; right? [Laughter]\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Bob:<\/strong> That\u2019s pretty\u2014that\u2019s\u2019 pretty\u2014you know, pretty vague.\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>20:00<\/strong>\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Laura:<\/strong> Vague\u2014absolutely! You\u2019re welcome.\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Barbara:<\/strong> She intends for it to be very vague. [Laughter]\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Laura:<\/strong> That was my gift to you, Bob. [Laughter]\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Bob:<\/strong> Well, Merry Christmas!\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Laura:<\/strong> Sure. [Laughter]\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Laura:<\/strong> I\u2019m sure he would \/ I\u2019m sure he would\u2014\u201cYesterday,\u201d is what he would say.\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Barbara:<\/strong> Yes; he would say, \u201cYesterday.\u201d [Laughter]\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Laura:<\/strong> He can\u2019t wait to be a dad, which is really exciting\u2014not there yet.\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Bob:<\/strong> And can you wait to be a mom?\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Laura:<\/strong> I can; yes, because I have 20-something nieces and nephews\u2014that I have <em>seen<\/em> the light. [Laughter]\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Bob:<\/strong> You have felt the heat.\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Laura:<\/strong> I have felt the heat\u2014the lack of sleep.\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Dennis:<\/strong> And while Laura was talking, I finally found the verse about shining like stars. Let me read it to you, because it\u2019s talking about the end of time. It says in [Revelation] Chapter 12, verse 3: \u201cThose who have insight\u201d\u2014meaning those who give instruction\u2014\"will shine brightly like the brightness of the expanse of heaven, and those who lead many to righteousness, like the stars forever and ever.\u201d \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>21:00<\/strong>\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\tThat light will never go out. \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\tSo, the question is: \u201cAre you going to seize the moment today with your children?\u2014with your extended family?\u2014or I like what you said, Laura\u2014about thinking about being an aunt or an uncle, and how you\u2019re going to influence your nieces and nephews; because that\u2019s a built-in ministry, especially at this time of year.\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Bob:<\/strong> Well, and the fact that Jesus is the Bright and Morning Star\u2014when we shine, as stars, we\u2019re really reflecting another person\u2019s light. It\u2019s not our brightness that is showing forth\u2014it\u2019s His brightness. \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\tI think, Barbara\u2014what you\u2019ve created for families here\u2014helps remind us of these things. So, are you getting enough sleep at night?\u2014you resting up?\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>\u00a0<\/strong>\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Dennis: <\/strong>Well\u2014\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Bob:<\/strong> I\u2019m just wanting to make sure.\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Dennis:<\/strong> \u2014for what? [Laughter]\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Bob:<\/strong> For what? For what is coming as soon as the closet door is opened and you are called upon to begin the massive exercise of transforming your home into Barbara\u2019s holiday emporium. [Laughter] \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>2:00<\/strong>\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t\u00a0How big is the closet?\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Dennis:<\/strong> It\u2019s not a closet, Bob.\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Bob:<\/strong> What is it?\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Dennis:<\/strong> It\u2019s a small storage unit. [Laughter]\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Barbara:<\/strong> It\u2019s <em>not<\/em> that big, you guys.\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Dennis:<\/strong> And it\u2019s <em>upstairs<\/em> in the storage unit.\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Bob:<\/strong> So you have to carry it down.\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Dennis:<\/strong> You have to carry it down and\u2014\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Barbara:<\/strong> \u2014and then back up.\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Dennis:<\/strong> Every year, I think it\u2019s going to cost me my life; you know? [Laughter] But I start carrying the boxes\u2014not long before or after Thanksgiving \/ somewhere in there\u2014I start carrying them out. I usually get done right before Christmas Eve. [Laughter]\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Bob:<\/strong> That\u2019s pretty continuous. Now, that\u2019s why I\u2019m wondering if you\u2019re rested up\u2014you\u2019re getting in shape for\u2014\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Barbara:<\/strong> Oh, you guys are terrible.\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Dennis:<\/strong> I\u2019m training for a marathon, Bob. I\u2019m training\u2014I\u2019m in training.\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Barbara:<\/strong> Let me just say that you two are terrible. That is <em>not<\/em> the truth. [Laughter]\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Laura:<\/strong> That is <em>not<\/em> nice. [Laughter]\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Bob:<\/strong> Dennis\u2019s wife, Barbara, back with us today\u2014welcome back.\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Barbara:<\/strong> You\u2019re welcome, but I\u2019m not sure I want to be back. [Laughter]\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Bob:<\/strong> You brought somebody along with you today.\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Barbara:<\/strong> I did. I brought our daughter, Laura.\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Bob:<\/strong> Laura, you are getting ready to celebrate your second Christmas as a married woman.\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>3:00<\/strong>\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Laura:<\/strong> Yes.\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Dennis:<\/strong> She\u2019s officially no longer \u201cjust married.\u201d\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Bob:<\/strong> That\u2019s right!\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Laura:<\/strong> No; when does that end?\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Dennis:<\/strong> At the end of the first year.\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Bob:<\/strong> Oh, I thought it\u2014\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Laura:<\/strong> No; Josh listens to this\u2014[Laughter]\u2014shhh!\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Bob:<\/strong> You want it to just continue?\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Dennis:<\/strong> You want it to continue?\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Laura:<\/strong> Yes! Celebrating <em>every<\/em> month\u2014we call \u201cmonthaversaries.\u201d We take trips\u2014unbelievable.\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Bob:<\/strong> How long did it take before you said, \u201cOkay; the honeymoon is done here.\u201d\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Laura:<\/strong> Yes; probably, you know, when we got back from St. Lucia.\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Bob:<\/strong> \u2014from the honeymoon.\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Laura:<\/strong> Right. [Laughter]\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Bob:<\/strong> As soon as the honeymoon was over: \u201cThe honeymoon was over.\u201d\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Laura:<\/strong> That was it. Yes; you\u2019d better close that box. [Laughter]\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Dennis:<\/strong> No; as soon as the boat they got in St. Lucia, it was over.\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Bob:<\/strong> That didn\u2019t help matters either.\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Laura:<\/strong> No.\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Bob:<\/strong> Well, we\u2019re spending some time talking about Christmas\u2014ahead of Thanksgiving\u2014which is, as we\u2019ve already talked about this week, been a \u201cNo; no\u201d up until this year. You finally just said: \u201cYou know, you can\u2019t stop from thinking about it.\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Barbara:<\/strong> Yes.\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Bob:<\/strong> \u201cSo we might as well, at least, help moms,\u201d\u2014and it\u2019s particularly moms because most dads are just doing the heavy lifting and carrying boxes from place to place. [Laughter] \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>4:00<\/strong>\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\tIt\u2019s moms who are already thinking about \u201cHow do I want to get my house ready for Christmas?\u201d\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Barbara:<\/strong> Yes; it is primarily moms and women, because we\u2019re the ones who think about decorating for the holidays. We\u2019re the ones who think about traditions, for the most part. We\u2019re the ones who do the things that we hope will make our family time meaningful and make the holidays meaningful\u2014and call everyone home.\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Bob:<\/strong> Laura, I\u2019m just wondering, \u201cAre there decorations that your mom has had out\u2014for years, and years, and years\u2014that kind of signal to you, \u2018That\u2019s my favorite,\u2019\u2014that\u2019s something that you look forward to?\u201d \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\tI know, in our house, stockings were a big deal and everybody looked forward to seeing their stocking again.\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Laura:<\/strong> Yes.\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Dennis:<\/strong> Nativity important at your place?\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Bob:<\/strong> Yes; nativity scenes\u2014having those available. Did you have any that were kind of your favorite decorations?\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Laura:<\/strong> Yes; well, I do love the stocking reference; because\u2014who made ours?\u2014Mimi?\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Barbara:<\/strong> Actually, I made yours.\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Laura:<\/strong> All six of ours?\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Barbara:<\/strong> All six of them.\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>5:00<\/strong>\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Laura:<\/strong> Amazing. The one thing that I was always excited about was the nativity set that my parents received\u2014every year, one piece of the nativity. It was always\u2014we would fight over it. Most of the time, I would win\u2014I was going to set up the nativity. Towards the end\u2014it\u2019s because I was the only one home \/ I was the only one that was there for Christmas.\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Bob:<\/strong> Your siblings said, \u201cTowards the end, it was because you were the favored child\u2014\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Laura:<\/strong> Right.\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Bob:<\/strong> \u2014\u201cand that was always the case.\u201d\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Barbara:<\/strong> Oh yes; they\u2019ve said that.\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Laura:<\/strong> Absolutely; yes. [Laughter]\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>\u00a0<\/strong>\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Dennis: <\/strong>And in the end, she just caved in and said, \u201cI am.\u201d\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Laura:<\/strong> I am. [Laughter]\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Bob:<\/strong> Barbara, when you set out to think about decorating your home for the holidays, you focused in on different names or different titles for Jesus. Lot of directions you could have gone in terms of the Christmas season\u2014telling the nativity story\u2014however you would have wanted to do it. Why the names or the titles of Jesus? Why was that something you focused on?\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Barbara:<\/strong> Well, I think it\u2019s because, if you don\u2019t do anything else, most people do <em>something<\/em> related to a Christmas tree\u2014it may be small \/ it may be big. \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>6:00<\/strong>\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\tSome people do stockings and all of that, and some don\u2019t; but pretty much, everybody does a Christmas tree. Because the Christmas tree is typically as tall as the ceiling, it becomes the focal point, by default, in your home during the holiday season. \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\tMy thinking was, \u201cIf everyone\u2019s going to put up a Christmas tree\u2014or the majority of people do\u2014then let\u2019s help them make that focal point \/ that decorative element in their home for the month of December\u2014let\u2019s make that declare who Jesus is.\u201d We decided\u2014I decided, after thinking it through, that I wanted to put His names all over the Christmas tree so that it would proclaim who He is.\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Bob:<\/strong> But you could have done angels, and shepherds, and sheep, and wise men, and those kinds of things; why names?\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Barbara:<\/strong> Yes; well, I think the reason the names are more important is because they tell us who Jesus is; and Christmas is about Jesus. Yes; it\u2019s about shepherds, and wise men, and all of that; but it\u2019s <em>really<\/em> about Jesus. \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>7:00<\/strong>\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\tI would have wanted these ornaments, because it would have given me something that I could teach my children with\u2014so I could say: \u201cHere, Laura, I want you to hang this name. Can you read and tell me what that name says?\u201d Depending on what her age was, she would be able to read it or not be able to read it. If she was three or four, I would have said: \u201cLaura, this is the name of Jesus that says Wonderful Counselor. Can you say Wonderful Counselor?\u201d I would have her repeat it; and then I would say, \u201cWould you like to hang that ornament on the tree?\u201d \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\tAnd for the older kids, I would read them the story that comes with it so that our decorating of a Christmas tree\u2014which most families do every year\u2014would then be transformed and would be about getting to know who Jesus is; because as we know His names, we know Him. The more we can know about His names, the more we understand what He came to do and why He came on Christmas Day in the first place.\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>8:00<\/strong>\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Bob:<\/strong> You\u2019ve now created almost three dozen ornaments with different names of Jesus and heard from families\u2014some of whom have decided, \u201cThis is the exclusive look for our tree,\u201d\u2014they\u2019ve set aside the snowmen and the Santa\u2019s; and they\u2019ve said, \u201cWe\u2019re going to focus on Jesus.\u201d\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Barbara:<\/strong> Yes; and so families have responded differently. I\u2019m grateful for these families who have decided to make their tree only about Jesus, but you don\u2019t <em>have<\/em> to do that. You can also put all the names of Jesus on the tree and add all of your balls, and your candy canes, and whatever else you want to do\u2014I mean, it really is up to you. \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\tThe hope is\u2014is that, as you hang the names of Jesus, there will be something distinct about that\u2014the way you do it\u2014as you teach your kids will be set apart from hanging the other ornaments on the tree. One of the ideas is\u2014hang all the names of Jesus first\u2014talk about who He is \/ talk about all His different names\u2014and then, maybe the next day or the next week, hang all of your other ornaments on the tree if you choose to combine them all on one tree. \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>9:00<\/strong>\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\tI think the goal is\u2014is that, by using the names of Jesus on your Christmas tree, it helps you make Christmas about Jesus.\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Dennis:<\/strong> I\u2019ll never forget\u2014about six years ago, about this time\u2014Barbara started creating this first set of the names of Christ. I asked, \u201cWhy are you calling it His Christmas Names?\u201d She said, \u201cWell, that\u2019s how God introduced Him to us\u2014first of all, in the Book of Isaiah, Chapter 9.\u201d \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\tI want to read this to you. If you think about it, God introduced Christ through the Prophet Isaiah to human beings by giving a list of His names. In Isaiah 9:6 it says, \u201cFor a child will be born to us, a Son will be given to us; and the government will rest on His shoulders; and His name will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Eternal Father, Prince of Peace.\u201d \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\tAnd later on\u2014in Luke, Chapter 2 and, also, in Matthew\u2014are the rest of the names that are listed in Scripture that Barbara took and created this list of Christmas names that declare who Christ is\u2014Jesus, Emanuel, Savior, and Christ the Lord. She created a booklet that moms and dads could read to their kids as you hang these ornaments on a tree, to declare the Savior who came to take away the sins of the world. Those names declare God, I think, to generations even today. It\u2019s a way God\u2019s given us, as parents, to pass on the truth about who God is.\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Bob:<\/strong> You said, with little kids\u2014three- or four-year old\u2019s\u2014you\u2019re really not trying to teach a whole lot. You\u2019re just making them familiar with or acquainted with the names. But when you take something like\u2014I\u2019m looking at one of the new ornaments you\u2019ve created for this year\u2014Jesus is the <em>Alpha<\/em> and <em>Omega<\/em>. \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>11:00<\/strong>\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\tIf you\u2019ve got an eight-year-old or a nine-year-old, is that something that you can help them understand?\u2014what it means that Jesus is the <em>Alpha<\/em> and the <em>Omega<\/em>?\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Barbara:<\/strong> Well, it is a big concept; no doubt about it. But I think that it is a way that you can begin to introduce the concept of eternity and the concept of Jesus having no beginning and no end. I would take that ornament and I would explain what the word, <em>Alpha<\/em>, means and what the word, <em>Omega<\/em>, means\u2014and just say, simply, \u201cJesus, even though He was born on Christmas Day, existed before He was born; and He will live forever,\u201d\u2014just something simple like that to help kids begin to know what that means. \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\tAnd you may have a dialogue with your child, and he may ask a question you don\u2019t know. You can say: \u201cYou know, I don\u2019t know what the answer to that is. Let\u2019s look up this verse and read it. Let\u2019s do some digging and find out,\u201d or \u201cI\u2019ll find out and let you know later.\u201d I think it\u2019s important to begin to help them grasp these concepts about who God is.\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>12:00<\/strong>\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Bob:<\/strong> And it\u2019s part of the reason for the booklet that comes with the ornaments\u2014\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Barbara:<\/strong> Correct.\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Bob:<\/strong> \u2014so that there can be some explanation \/ some dialogue that you help create as you read through that booklet. \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\tI\u2019m wondering about the one that calls Jesus the Eternal Father from Isaiah 9. It\u2019s an interesting thought; isn\u2019t it?\u2014that the Son is called the Eternal Father\u2014that that\u2019s a name of Jesus.\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Barbara:<\/strong> Yes; it is interesting. It\u2019s not that He <em>is<\/em> the Father, because God is called the Father and Jesus introduced us to God the Father when He was on earth. But the idea behind that is that the way Jesus related to His people\u2014to His followers \/ to His disciples\u2014when He was on earth was in a very fatherly way. He was protective; He took care of them; He fed them; He healed them; He guided them\u2014He did the things that God the Father longs to do with us. Jesus demonstrated to everyone\u2014when He was on earth\u2014who was around Him, what a father looks like. It was His way of relating to the people that was fatherly. Isaiah prophesized that Jesus would be our Prince of Peace and our Wonderful Counselor, and He would be our Eternal Father\u2014meaning He shepherds us as a father does.\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Bob:<\/strong> Yes; we\u2019ve got a link on our website at FamilyLifeToday.com to an article that addresses this issue of Jesus being the Everlasting Father\u2014and explains what you were explaining about He represents, relationally\u2014but it\u2019s also a declaration: \u201cHe is God. He is Eternal. He has always existed. He did not come into being, but He is eternal,\u201d\u2014it was clear to Isaiah\u2019s listeners when he said this\u2014\u201cThis Son who is coming will not be like any other son or any other king who has ever been born.\u201d \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\tYou also have an ornament that talks about Jesus is the Bright and Morning Star. What is that communicating to us about who He is?\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>14:00<\/strong>\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Barbara:<\/strong> Well, it\u2019s interesting. He makes that declaration in the very last chapter of Revelation about Himself; and yet, there are other references to Him being the star. The very first one is in the Book of Numbers, where there\u2019s a prophecy made about a star shall arise and the scepter shall come from Judah. It\u2019s a prophecy about the coming of Jesus\u2014He\u2019s referred to there as a star. \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\tThen, we know, in John, that He is the light of the world. We know that stars give light\u2014so there\u2019s some allusions and some hints of that woven throughout the Bible. Actually, Peter makes reference to the morning star arising in our hearts in 2 Peter. That, too, is an allusion to us letting Christ shine\u2014letting Him rise, rule, reign, shine\u2014through your heart and through your life so that others will see that He lives within you. It\u2019s something that\u2019s kind of woven throughout the Bible. \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\tI love the idea of that, too; because the wise men followed a star. \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>15:00<\/strong>\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\tAnd even though this is a different star than who Jesus is saying He is, stars are associated with Jesus throughout the Bible. I just think it\u2019s really cool that the star that the wise men saw rose in the sky and they followed it. It moved, and it took them to Jesus. Just the idea of following the star led them to Jesus; and if we follow Him\u2014if we follow the Bright Morning Star\u2014we will get to know Him. We will find Him as the wise men found Him. We will understand Him, and we will worship Him when we follow Him and the path that He leads us by His light.\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Bob:<\/strong> Laura, you would want to make sure that listeners understand that Clarence Odbody, the angel, was a star before he came to earth in <em>It\u2019s a Wonderful Life<\/em>. [Laughter]\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Laura:<\/strong> Yes; he was.\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Barbara:<\/strong> That\u2019s his last name?\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Bob:<\/strong> Odbody. Yes; he\u2019s an angel, second class\u2014that\u2019s right.\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Laura:<\/strong> Second class.\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Barbara:<\/strong> I remember the second class, but I didn\u2019t know the Odbody part.\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Bob:<\/strong> But\u2014\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Laura:<\/strong> Then he got his wings.\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Barbara:<\/strong> Oh yes; he did.\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Bob:<\/strong> And none of that\u2019s in the Bible; right? [Laughter]\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Laura:<\/strong> No; it\u2019s in <em>The Wonderful Life Bible<\/em> though\u2014that\u2019s for sure.\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Bob:<\/strong> That\u2019s a little different angelology. [Laughter]\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Laura:<\/strong> Absolutely.\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Barbara:<\/strong> I know; but it\u2019s a <em>great<\/em> story\u2014it\u2019s a great story.\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>16:00<\/strong>\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Dennis:<\/strong> Well, I\u2019ll tell you something that is in the Bible that\u2019s <em>fascinating<\/em> around stars and this kind of\u2014this is where the handoff occurs to us, as moms and dads \/ husbands, wives \/ grandparents. It is referred to in the Book of Daniel\u2014that those who lead many to righteousness will be like the stars that shine forever and ever.\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\tI don\u2019t know what that means; but when I look up into the Milky Way Galaxy, and I see\u2014who knows how many millions and billions of stars that forms the Milky Way\u2014I just wonder, \u201cHow will God turn us into those who shine like stars forever and ever because we led many to righteousness?\u201d And we began with our children\u2014introducing them to God \/ to the Word\u2014calling them to follow Christ\u2014to ultimately give their lives to Christ as Savior and Lord so that they might have eternal life and they might know the <em>Alpha<\/em> and the <em>Omega<\/em> \/ they might see the Bright and Morning Star someday.\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Bob:<\/strong> Now, Laura, we need a little reality check here; okay?\u2014because I know your mom has been working on these ornaments now for six years. I know you were grown and out of the house when she started working on them; but I\u2019m imagining that, when you were still home, as a teenager\/as a pre-teen, there would be times, during the Christmas season, when your mom would say: \u201cHere, we\u2019re going to do something together. We\u2019re going to do a craft,\u201d or \u201cI want to teach you something,\u201d or \u201cI want to read something to you.\u201d \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Laura:<\/strong> Yes; yes.\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Bob:<\/strong> And when she did that, you would always come and say, \u201cWhat is it, Momma?\u201d and fold your hands\u2014\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Laura:<\/strong> \u2014and sit down quietly and anticipate; absolutely.\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Bob:<\/strong> This is a reality check part.\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Laura:<\/strong> Yes. No; I was just listening to Dad share that. The way that Dad was describing that\u2014it built anticipation in me\u2014I was like, \u201cWhat is he going to say next?\u201d I think that is so cool about the opportunity that parents have. \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>18:00<\/strong>\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\tI\u2019m not a parent, but I am an aunt to 20-something odd nieces and nephews.\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Dennis:<\/strong> They\u2019re not odd.\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Laura:<\/strong> They\u2019re not odd. [Laughter] Twenty-something wonderful, precious humans that I still have an opportunity, as their aunt, to guide them in this truth, as well, and to present it in this way\u2014as: \u201cListen to this. This is exciting, and this is something you get to look forward to as you get older and you grow in understanding of who the Lord is.\u201d As parents, we\u2019re excited about this and your excitement will be passed down to your children. \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\tBut I think, when we were growing up, Mom\u2014I mean, she didn\u2019t have a visual ornament to show us during these times of teaching\u2014but she would. We would sit, and we would read the Christmas story, either Christmas Eve or we would read it Christmas morning, after or before we opened gifts\u2014it just depended on the age. I mean, we did different things every year; but we always tried to incorporate that tradition in. \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\tWhat I think is so special about these ornaments is that kids are so visual these days\u2014they look at screens \/ they want to look at iPad<sup>\u00ae<\/sup> games. \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>19:00<\/strong>\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\tThey want to <em>see<\/em>, and they want to be able to understand and touch. I think that\u2019s what\u2019s so cool about what Mom has done\u2014is that they can hold this. It\u2019s a representation of who Jesus is in a beautiful way. They can look at it every year\u2014like, \u201cMommy, I remember when you told me this last year.\u201d Maybe they won\u2019t; but as you build, every single year, and you remind them of the truth. You can build on it throughout the year\u2014you don\u2019t have to take these down\u2014you can hang them up on your doorknobs and you can leave them out, because they are so beautiful. They are timeless truths that you can teach to your kids, leading up to Christmas and all year.\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Bob:<\/strong> You mentioned that you\u2019re not a parent yet. Your mom and dad have asked me to ask you, \u201cWhen is that going to change?\u201d [Laughter]\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Laura:<\/strong> Did Dad ask you? Because he promised, yesterday, he was no longer going to ask me about it\u2014<em>unbelievable<\/em>.\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Bob:<\/strong> So, he\u2019s not asking you.\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Dennis:<\/strong> Look at my lips.\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Bob:<\/strong> He said <em>nothing<\/em>, but\u2014\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Laura:<\/strong> Lock it up! [Laughter] Maybe\u2014there\u2019s always next year; right? [Laughter]\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Bob:<\/strong> That\u2019s pretty\u2014that\u2019s\u2019 pretty\u2014you know, pretty vague.\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>20:00<\/strong>\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Laura:<\/strong> Vague\u2014absolutely! You\u2019re welcome.\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Barbara:<\/strong> She intends for it to be very vague. [Laughter]\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Laura:<\/strong> That was my gift to you, Bob. [Laughter]\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Bob:<\/strong> Well, Merry Christmas!\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Laura:<\/strong> Sure. You want to get Josh on the line?\u2014you can ask him.\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Bob:<\/strong> Yes; would he like to weigh in on the subject? [Laughter]\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Laura:<\/strong> I\u2019m sure he would \/ I\u2019m sure he would\u2014\u201cYesterday,\u201d is what he would say.\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Barbara:<\/strong> Yes; he would say, \u201cYesterday.\u201d [Laughter]\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Laura:<\/strong> He can\u2019t wait to be a dad, which is really exciting\u2014not there yet.\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Bob:<\/strong> And can you wait to be a mom?\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Laura:<\/strong> I can; yes, because I have 20-something nieces and nephews\u2014that I have <em>seen<\/em> the light. [Laughter]\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Bob:<\/strong> You have felt the heat.\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Laura:<\/strong> I have felt the heat\u2014the lack of sleep.\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Dennis:<\/strong> And while Laura was talking, I finally found the verse about shining like stars. Let me read it to you, because it\u2019s talking about the end of time. It says in [Revelation] Chapter 12, verse 3: \u201cThose who have insight\u201d\u2014meaning those who give instruction\u2014\"will shine brightly like the brightness of the expanse of heaven, and those who lead many to righteousness, like the stars forever and ever.\u201d \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>21:00<\/strong>\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\tThat light will never go out. \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\tSo, the question is: \u201cAre you going to seize the moment today with your children?\u2014with your extended family?\u2014or I like what you said, Laura\u2014about thinking about being an aunt or an uncle, and how you\u2019re going to influence your nieces and nephews; because that\u2019s a built-in ministry, especially at this time of year.\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Bob:<\/strong> Well, and the fact that Jesus is the Bright and Morning Star\u2014when we shine, as stars, we\u2019re really reflecting another person\u2019s light. It\u2019s not our brightness that is showing forth\u2014it\u2019s His brightness. \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\tI think, Barbara\u2014what you\u2019ve created for families here\u2014helps remind us of these things.
