The director of the film, Alex Kendrick, says this is a movie about the kind of spiritual warfare that every one of us ought to be involved in.\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Alex: <\/strong>We paint a picture of \u201cWhat does fighting in prayer look like?\u201d We do not say that the magic of prayer is because you pray in an empty closet, a full closet, whatever, but that you find a place that you are not distracted\u2014that you are tuned in and focused on the Lord. This is your time to totally seek Him with your whole heart. The Lord says, \u201cYou seek Me and you\u2019ll find Me if you seek Me with all your heart.\u201d So, it\u2019s time to go to war.\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Bob: <\/strong>This is a special edition of <em>FamilyLife Today<\/em> for Friday, August 28<sup>th<\/sup>. This is the first time we\u2019ve ever had both a Tuesday and a Friday edition, simultaneously. The reason for that is because we\u2019re recording this program on a Tuesday. This is Tuesday, February 10<sup>th<\/sup>, and we\u2019ve just pulled out of Key West onboard the <em>Love Like You Mean It<\/em> marriage cruise. We have a great studio audience joining us here. [Applause]\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\tBut today is also Friday, August 28<sup>th<\/sup>. This is the day that listeners are going to be joining us as we all head to the theaters today because of a new movie that is coming out in theaters tonight. \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Dennis: <\/strong>The <em>War Room<\/em> is about to descend on theaters across the nation. We have the co-creators of <em>War Room<\/em>, Stephen and Alex Kendrick, back with us on <em>FamilyLife Today<\/em>. Welcome back, guys.\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Alex and Stephen: <\/strong>Thank you.\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Dennis: <\/strong>And welcome them; will you? [Applause]\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>2:00<\/strong>\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>\u00a0<\/strong>\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\tFolks know them from <em>Fireproof <\/em>\/<em> Courageous, <\/em>but they\u2019ve also brought\u2014well, we\u2019ll have to tell the story. Last night, as we began the <em>Love Like You Mean It <\/em>cruise, Bob really introduced T.C. Stallings. Tell the audience\u2014the listening audience\u2014how you introduced and talked about him last night, as we began our cruise.\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Bob: <\/strong>Well, as you\u2019ll see in the movie, <em>War Room<\/em>, he\u2019s kind of a jerk\u2014really, is what he is\u2014[Laughter]\u2014but by the end, he is not only repented and he\u2019s forgiven, but he\u2019s also pretty awesome when it comes to jump roping too. So\u2014[Laughter]\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Dennis:<\/strong> I just\u2014T.C., I have a question for you: \u201cThe scene where you dunk the basketball,\u2014\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>T.C.: <\/strong>Yes.\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Dennis: <\/strong>\u201c\u2014did you have help in doing that?\u201d Now, tell the truth.\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>T.C.: <\/strong>Yes, I threw it off the backboard. [Laughter]\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Dennis: <\/strong>And that was not T.C. Stallings!\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>T.C.: <\/strong>No\u2014yes.\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Dennis: <\/strong>That\u2019s our disrupted part of our program. [Laughter]\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\tMichael Jr., welcome to the broadcast. [Applause]\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>3:00<\/strong>\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>\u00a0<\/strong>\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Dennis: <\/strong>So back to the question, T.C.\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>T.C.: <\/strong>No, there was no help. I thought it was cool that every stunt, every flip, every acrobatic thing\u2014he didn\u2019t know that I could do some of those things\u2014and he gave me a chance to show it all off. [Laughter]\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Bob: <\/strong>Wow. [Laughter] Well, but the jump ropes were all digital, so\u2014I\u2019m kidding. [Laughter] \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Dennis: <\/strong>No, they were real! \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Bob: <\/strong>Yes, they were real. \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>T.C.: <\/strong>About four months before we shot, he told me\u2014now, that\u2019s the one thing I\u2019ve never done in my life. He was telling me all these things: \u201cYou\u2019re going to dunk.\u201d I said, \u201cOkay.\u201d He said, \u201cYou\u2019re going to back-flip.\u201d I said, \u201cOkay.\u201d \u201cAnd then you\u2019re going to Double Dutch.\u201d I\u2019m like, \u201cDouble who?\u201d [Laughter] So I spent a few months learning how to do that. They brought a coach on, and it all came together.\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Bob: <\/strong>Who knows where you\u2019ve seen T.C. Stallings before?\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Audience: <\/strong><em>Courageous<\/em>.\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>\u00a0<\/strong>\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Bob: <\/strong>Yes\u2014in <em>Courageous<\/em>. You were the <em>thug<\/em> in <em>Courageous<\/em>; right?\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>T.C.: <\/strong>Iwas a bad guy\u2014yes.\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Bob: <\/strong>You were the baddest of bad guys. I didn\u2019t want to be in your way <em>at all<\/em> in <em>Courageous<\/em>, man. [Laughter] So, that was really the first time you\u2019d ever acted; right?\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>4:00<\/strong>\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>\u00a0<\/strong>\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>T.C.: <\/strong>Yes\u2014that was the first time. Before that all\u2014I\u2019d done some work with <em>The Animal Planet<\/em>, but that was just a reality TV show. So it was not acting. I\u2019ve never taken any acting classes\u2014I\u2019ve never trained in that area. [Applause] My folks\u2014\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Dennis: <\/strong>Well T.C., some folks from Hollywood saw you. You\u2019ve now been in three movies since then; right?\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>T.C.: <\/strong>Yes. Well, actually, this one would make my sixth film. I\u2019ve had six films and three commercials. Yes, an agent in L.A. saw <em>Courageous<\/em>\u2014asked me to come out. I told her\u2014I thought it was ridiculous\u2014so I told her absolutely everything I wouldn\u2019t do. I said: \u201cI\u2019m probably not going to make you a lot of money. I\u2019m going to probably say, \u2018No,\u2019 to everything that you want me to do. I want you to understand my place.\u201d \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\tShe said: \u201cI think God has something for you. I have a Christian agent in L.A.\u2014a highly-reputable agency.\u201d She brought me out there. All she does is send me clean work, and that\u2019s what I get. That\u2019s always the way it\u2019s going to be. [Applause]\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Bob: <\/strong>Wow.\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>5:00<\/strong>\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>\u00a0<\/strong>\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Dennis: <\/strong>Speaking of rookies\u2014Michael Jr., you had to have been in several Oscar-winning performances before this; right?\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Michael: <\/strong>I was in a couple movies\u2014there\u2019s a movie theater on the corner of 28<sup>th<\/sup> Street at my house. [Laughter]\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\tI think it\u2019s legit! I\u2019m excited to be a part of it. I\u2019m glad I was able to add some funny to the film where I could\u2014so I\u2019m just excited. You guys did a\u2014y\u2019all ripped it up \/ you did a phenomenal job to the glory of God. [Applause]\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Dennis: <\/strong>Share with our listeners what this movie is all about.\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Alex: <\/strong>You know, between each of our films, we talk about going through a season of prayer, where we just say, \u201cGod, what do You want us to do next?\u201d The Lord has always been faithful \u2014that during that season, where we\u2019re praying \/ we\u2019re just seeking Him\u2014He always sends us in a direction. As our previous films\u2014it\u2019s been love, it\u2019s been lordship, it\u2019s been courageous parenting. \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\tThis time, it was the power of prayer\u2014 \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>6:00<\/strong>\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>\u00a0<\/strong>\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t\u2014the Lord saying, \u201cCall My people back to pray, to seek Me first, to do their fighting in prayer first,\u201d and to let God do what God\u2019s supposed to do. We do the trusting and the obedience unto the Lord. When we do it the proper way, and honor the Lord in the sense that He\u2019s meant and supposed to be honored, we\u2019ll see a difference in our culture. \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\tI would say\u2014even for the body of Christ in America\u2014our nation would be different if we unified and sought the Creator God, who is more powerful than any of our issues, and we sought Him together and humble ourselves before Him. We end with 2 Chronicles 7:14 at the end of the movie. That was spoken to Israel, but that principle applies to us\u2014we must humble ourselves before the Lord and seek Him.\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Bob: <\/strong>Stephen, with the themes you\u2019ve tackled over the years, one thing that has seemed to be in every movie is marriage and family.\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Stephen: <\/strong>Yes.\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>7:00<\/strong>\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>\u00a0<\/strong>\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Bob: <\/strong>You\u2019re obviously aware of that. As you\u2019re dealing with whatever the themes are, that\u2019s the context in which you\u2019re dealing with them. Talk about that a little bit.\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Stephen: <\/strong>Well, it is the core of our society. If we do so many other things, but we don\u2019t fix the home, then, at the cell level, there\u2019s still a disease in our culture. So, we always want to be telling a story that presents biblical truth in a way that\u2019s emotionally-encouraging \/ entertaining. We want people to laugh, and cry, and be caught up in the story; but we want them to see marriage from a biblical perspective, parenting from a biblical perspective, reconciliation\/redemption from a biblical perspective. \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\tThere are so many people in our culture now\u2014they don\u2019t know what a godly home looks like, or they don\u2019t know what a marriage should look like. So, we try to start every film with where people are and then take them on a journey of where they should be by the end of the movie\u2014pointing them to a biblical standard\u2014so that they say, \u201cOkay, now I know where to head,\u201d \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>8:00<\/strong>\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>\u00a0<\/strong>\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t\u201cNow I know I need to go apologize to my spouse that way,\u201d or \u201cI need to be seeking the Lord like Elizabeth does in the closet in <em>War Room.\u201d <\/em>The Lord has honored that, and we want to keep growing in that way.\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Bob: <\/strong>I watched this movie and I thought to myself, \u201cWe could just show <em>Fireproof<\/em> on Friday night at the <em>Weekend to Remember<\/em><sup>\u00ae<\/sup>, show this on Saturday morning, and let them have the rest of the weekend off.\u201d [Laughter] We pretty much got it covered\u2014I mean, you\u2019re dealing with the core themes, Alex, that every couple is wrestling with in a marriage relationship.\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Alex: <\/strong>And you know\u2014when you watch the film \/ really, either of those films\u2014from the worst it is in the film to the best it becomes\u2014somewhere, all of us are on that journey. We may be at different points; but all of us have faced these issues. All of us have faced the frustration, and sometimes bewilderment, and sometimes bitterness, and \u201cHow do we handle those?\u201d There is a God who says, \u201cI have the answer for how you handle each of these things.\u201d He presents truth to us, but then we have to obey. We have to walk in faith and apply those truths to our lives. When we do, He can do amazing things. \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>9:00<\/strong>\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>\u00a0<\/strong>\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\tIn <em>War Room<\/em>\u2014in <em>Fireproof<\/em>, it was coming from the vantage point of what Scripture says love does and love is \/ this time, we\u2019re talking about prayer\u2014both <em>essentials<\/em> in a God-honoring marriage.\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Dennis: <\/strong>Marriage is a spiritual institution\u2014God created it. As I was watching the film, I thought of all you folks, here on the cruise\u2014some 2,000 folks\u2014and I thought, \u201cYou know, there are marriages here that have burdens, battles, valleys, struggles, big-time issues in your marriage because you\u2019re human beings.\u201d I thought: \u201cWhat a <em>great <\/em>message for them to hear, at the beginning of the cruise\u2014that there is a God, who cares about every person here and how they arrived on this cruise,\u201d\u2014and every listener who\u2019s listening to our broadcast\u2014\u201cRegardless of your burden, there is a God in heaven whose ear is attentive to our prayers.\u201d \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\tYou guys just took it on\u2014I thought, \u201cYou went for the jugular on this one,\u201d because you really talk about\u2014[Applause] \u2014\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>10:00<\/strong>\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>\u00a0<\/strong>\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t\u2014of imperfect people, following Jesus Christ, and casting their burdens on Him. Stephen, it nailed it; didn\u2019t it?\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Stephen: <\/strong>Well, we look back to a dad who grew up with a dysfunctional father himself. I would stumble upon my father, on his knees, in his prayer closet, crying out to God to help him to be a good husband and a good father. We saw incredible answers to prayer in our parents\u2019 lives. So, we saw our faith was not in the wisdom of men\u2014it was in the power of God. That\u2019s what we grew up with. \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\tSo, we\u2019ve been crying out to the Lord for our own marriages, our own hearts, [and] our own children. I\u2019m praying now for my great-grandchildren\u2014who are\u2014My oldest is 13 right now\u2014my kids are looking at me; and I\u2019m telling them, \u201cI\u2019m already praying for your kids and your grandkids,\u201d because we can\u2014there\u2019s not an issue that we\u2019re dealing with right now\u2014in our culture, in the church, or in the home\u2014that prayer cannot address because there is a living, powerful God, who is asking us to pray to Him. \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>11:00<\/strong>\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>\u00a0<\/strong>\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\tHe\u2019s inviting us, through Christ \/ everything He did, so that we could pray to Him.\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Dennis: <\/strong>You think about how we wear ourselves out, taking the burden on ourselves, trying to fix these things. I want to go back to what you said. You said your dad\u2014did he actually have a closet like this?\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Stephen: <\/strong>Yes. Yes\u2014he had a prayer closet.\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Dennis: <\/strong>Describe it.\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Stephen: <\/strong>Well, it was full of clothes, you know; but there was an open area. There were all of his ties\u2014his \u201870s \/ 1970s, ties were hanging there. He would go in there, and get on his knees and pray to the Lord. Our mom is a praying mom. She, even now, at 72 years of age, gets up every morning and cries out to God for us and for our kids. \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\tSo, there\u2019s a whole lot of wind in the sails. We set the sails and the Lord has been blessing the fruitfulness of these ministries, but we know we\u2019re standing on the shoulders of some godly people who are behind us. We wanted you to do the same thing in our home, and we want other people in the church to do the same thing for their families.\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Alex: <\/strong>Yes, so we paint a picture of: \u201cWhat does fighting in prayer look like?\u201d\u00a0 \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>12:00<\/strong>\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>\u00a0<\/strong>\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\tYou see Elizabeth and you see Miss Clara going to war in their closets. Now, I hope you caught in the movie\u2014we do not say that the magic of prayer is because you pray in an empty closet, a full closet, whatever\u2014but that you find a place that you are not distracted. Initially, she walks in there\u2014this character\u2014and she\u2019s looking at her shoes, and she\u2019s doing this, and she\u2019s all distracted. Eventually, she says, \u201cNo, I\u2019m going to find a place that\u2019s exclusively my place to go before the Lord.\u201d The point is that you are tuned in and focused on the Lord\u2014that this is the time to totally seek Him with your whole heart. \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\tIf you notice\u2014when she goes to war and she starts building strategies\u2014for her daughter Danielle \/ for her future, for Elizabeth herself, for her husband, for their marriage, for their community. We start in the individual battlefield and then, by the end of the movie, what have we done? We\u2019ve expanded. We\u2019re praying for our corporate battlefield and our Kingdom battlefield, which is our whole entire culture. \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>13:00<\/strong>\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>\u00a0<\/strong>\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\tMiss Clara finishes this movie with the prayer that I hope we all get to\u2014we are praying for our leaders, and the body of Christ, and our influence, and etc., etc., etc. The Lord says, \u201cYou seek Me, and you\u2019ll find Me if you seek Me with all your heart,\u201d\u2014so it\u2019s time to go to war.\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Bob: <\/strong>As you\u2019re talking about this, I\u2019m thinking back to two years ago, when you were with us on this cruise. You spoke on this subject of prayer and having a strategy for prayer. This is something God\u2019s had on your heart for awhile.\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Alex: <\/strong>He has. You know\u2014the Lord ends up tilling the soil, and then stirring in us, and then, as that fruit begins to grow, we begin figuring it out ourselves because Steve and I are not the smartest guys on the planet. We need the Lord to show us what to do. [Laughter]\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\tBut anyway, the more we walk with Him, and obey the Lord, and seek Him\u2014and yes, there\u2019s work to be done \/ yes, we have to put forth a lot of effort\u2014we want excellence\u2014but the fruit\u2014the change in your hearts and in the hearts of the people who see this movie\u2014that\u2019s only from the Holy Spirit.\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>14:00<\/strong>\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>\u00a0<\/strong>\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Stephen: <\/strong>That\u2019s right.\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Alex: <\/strong>We\u2019re just here to say, \u201cLord, we\u2019ll do what You\u2019ve called us to do.\u201d\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Stephen: <\/strong>Well, the godliest men in Christian history were men of prayer. You look at Hudson Taylor\u2019s spiritual secret\u2014his spiritual secret was prayer. You look at George Mueller, at the end of his life\u201450,000 documented answers to prayer in his life \/ 5,000 were answered on the day he prayed them. You look at the greatest men in Scripture\u2014were men of prayer. Abraham was a man of prayer. David was a man of prayer. Paul was a man of prayer. \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\tIn the church, we\u2019re called, and commissioned, and commanded to be people of prayer\u2014to make His church a house of prayer, to be devoted to prayer in our own lives, to put on the armor of God daily and to be praying at all times for all the saints in all occasions. We\u2019ve been disobedient, as a church, to that calling. We\u2019re reaping the consequences of our disobedience in our culture because we\u2019re trying to solve problems in human effort, with human wisdom, and we\u2019re failing.\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Dennis: <\/strong>That\u2019s right.\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Stephen: <\/strong>So we, as a church, have a great opportunity in our generation to do what they did at the beginning of every Great Awakening\u2014and that is to get on our knees, and to cry out to God, and to say, \u201cOur sufficiency is totally in You.\u201d\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>15:00<\/strong>\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>\u00a0<\/strong>\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Alex: <\/strong>And the more you do that, you will learn how to fight the <em>right <\/em>battles the <em>right<\/em> way with the <em>right<\/em> resources. That is very, very important\u2014that we fight the right battles the right way with the right resources. You do not fight in your flesh. You do not fight with <em>emotion<\/em>. You guys know emotion will mess you over if you let emotion drive your marriage \/ if you let emotion drive your ministry. Oh man, you cannot do that. \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\tYou must fight with the Word of God\u2014what He says\u2014that\u2019s truth, and then you apply it to your life. The right battles with the right resources. You have a very real enemy\u2014your spouse is not your enemy \/ our government leaders are <em>not <\/em>our enemy.\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Stephen: <\/strong>That\u2019s right.\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Alex: <\/strong>Right? But there is an enemy that wants to stay hidden. Miss Clara said it best in the <em>War Room<\/em> movie: \u201cHe wants to stay hidden. It\u2019s our job to seek the God over him and that he would be exposed.\u201d We pray the Lord\u2019s principles, the Lord\u2019s way, and that\u2019s where you see fruit.\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>16:00<\/strong>\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>\u00a0<\/strong>\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Dennis: <\/strong>I want to ask the Kendrick brothers a question because, in the movie, there\u2019s this scene where there are answers to prayer that are framed.\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Stephen: <\/strong>Yes.\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Alex: <\/strong>Yes.\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Dennis: <\/strong>You mentioned your father had a prayer closet.\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Alex: <\/strong>Yes.\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Dennis: <\/strong>Did he also have some spiritual artifacts framed as well?\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Alex: <\/strong>Oh, those\u2014as a matter of fact, if you were to look at those in slow motion, those prayer requests were <em>all real<\/em>\u2014like if you could zoom in on them\u2014\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Stephen: <\/strong>The answers to prayer were real answers to prayer.\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Alex: <\/strong>Yes. They were\u2014\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Stephen: <\/strong>They were the real answers to prayer over the years. And the pictures around there are really\u2014\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Alex: <\/strong>\u2014answers to prayer. Yes. They\u2019re all real. We didn\u2019t make up anything.\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Dennis: <\/strong>\u2014of your father\u2019s?\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Alex: <\/strong>Well, some of them were from him but not all of them.\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Dennis: <\/strong>Okay.\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Alex: <\/strong>And some of them were from some of the leaders on our crew that said\u2014because every single day, we\u2019d start off with devotions and prayer time. Some of them were like, \u201cThe biggest answer to prayer\u2014we\u2019d pray for this and this happened.\u201d So that\u2019s on that sheet. Some of them were from our family, yes; but some of them were from the crew. When you see that\u2014and this is going to be on the DVD \/ it\u2019s part of the DVD\u2014when you zoom in\u00a0 and start looking at those things, all of them are real. All of them are real answers to prayer.\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>17:00<\/strong>\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>\u00a0<\/strong>\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Michael Jr.: <\/strong>Are you telling the house story yet, or you not doing that yet?\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Dennis: <\/strong>What\u2019s the house story?\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Alex: <\/strong>Well, on set, we saw God answer prayer after prayer on set. Miss Clara\u2019s house\u2014that older white with the columns in the front that she\u2019s on \/ the nice front porch with the rocking chairs\u2014we were praying for a home\u2014couldn\u2019t find the proper home. We had this type of home in mind. Stephen and I were walking through the neighborhood and see this house\u2014that we ended up shooting at\u2014for sale \/ asked the guy if we could rent it for one month to shoot in it. His agent didn\u2019t want that to happen because it had been on the market for <em>nine months<\/em> with no bites. His agent said, \u201cNo, this is going to mess\u2014because they\u2019re going to want to come in and redo the wallpaper and paint,\u201d\u2014which we did. \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\tBut we prayed for favor. That guy said, \u201cOkay, I\u2019m going to let you have it for one month.\u201d We paid him a fair rent, went in there, did all our work\u2014shot the movie. We started praying, \u201cGod, would You sell this house to bless this guy who owns it \/ that\u2019s been trying to sell it?\u2014because nothing\u2019s happened for nine months.\u201d \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>18:00<\/strong>\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>\u00a0<\/strong>\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\tThe <em>day<\/em> we finished shooting in that house,\u2014<em>the day<\/em>\u2014a couple comes up to look at the house\u2014they fall in love with it \/ they make an offer\u2014the guy immediately accepts. They sold the house <em>the day<\/em> we finished shooting. [Applause] Thank God! You see what happened here\u2014nine months, nothing going on\u2014and God says, \u201cI\u2019ve set this house aside for My movie.\u201d [Applause]\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Stephen: <\/strong>Well, let me say this too\u2014when we met the gentleman at the house, we said: \u201cWe\u2019re making a Christian movie. Are you a person of faith?\u201d He said, \u201cI\u2019m a pastor.\u201d We go into his house and we said, \u201cIn this room, we\u2019re actually going to take a bedroom and we\u2019re going to build a closet, and then, this is going to be Miss Clara\u2019s prayer closet.\u201d He said, \u201cThat\u2019s where I do my devotions every morning\u2014\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Bob: <\/strong>Wow.\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Stephen: <\/strong>\u2014\u201cis inside that room.\u201d We\u2019re like, \u201cThis is the place!\u201d God just went before us in every detail He worked out.\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Bob: <\/strong>Did it surprise you\u2014sitting in this room, listening to this audience watch your movie?\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Alex: <\/strong>The first thing that surprised me is how hard Michael Jr. cried during the movie. [Laughter]\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>19:00<\/strong>\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>\u00a0<\/strong>\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Michael: <\/strong>I\u2019m not going to lie\u2014I did cry a little bit.\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Alex: <\/strong>I\u2019m grateful. Even more important than a laugh or tearing up\u2014is that you see truth, and that you apply it as we are, and that you walk away from this, hopefully, inspired to say, \u201cIt\u2019s time to amp up my prayer life.\u201d If you do that, that\u2019s the fruit we\u2019re looking for.\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Bob: <\/strong>How important\u2014just remind our listeners how important this weekend is for this movie and for Christian movies in general; will you?\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Stephen: <\/strong>Sure. Opening weekend for any film really determines the fate of the film in theaters. It determines the number of theaters \/ it determines how wide the reach that it goes. What Hollywood does\u2014and what the studios do\u2014is: Monday morning, they look at opening weekend; and then they make the determining decisions as to how many more or less theaters\u2014they\u2019ll shut down a movie \/ it\u2019ll last only one weekend if people don\u2019t go see it. They say, \u201cOh, I\u2019ll just wait until later on.\u201d Well, it may not be there if you don\u2019t go see it soon. \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\tWe encourage people: \u201cPlease go see it opening weekend. Take your church. \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>20:00<\/strong>\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>\u00a0<\/strong>\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t\u201cMore importantly, use the movie in your churches, your families, your ministries to launch them into prayer and to begin to become people of prayer in your church\u2014launch prayer movements \/ prayer training\u2014those kinds of things.\u201d\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Bob: <\/strong>Dennis, I wish our listeners could have been here, with our studio audience, when this movie was over because I\u2019ve been in movies where, when it\u2019s over, there are cheers, and where there\u2019s applause, and where an audience responds. We couldn\u2019t get this audience to quit cheering for this movie. \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Dennis: <\/strong>We couldn\u2019t. I think the reason is all of us here felt like it resonated within our spirit in terms of what we wish God would do, not only in our own marriages \/ in our families, but also across our nation and around the world.\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>T.C.: <\/strong>I catch a lot of people\u2014they say Christian movies and things\u2014you\u2019ve probably heard this before: \u201cThey\u2019re too cheesy,\u201d\u2014that they\u2019re unrealistic. I think the reaction with the people standing up and, throughout the movie\u2014clapping at certain points\u2014 is because, when God comes through when you didn\u2019t think He would, or this miracle happens, or that miracle happens\u2014the world calls it, \u201ccheese\u201d; Christians call it \u201cour reality.\u201d [Applause] That\u2019s what I have to say.\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>21:00<\/strong>\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>\u00a0<\/strong>\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t[Studio]\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Bob: <\/strong>Well, once again, we want to thank Alex and Stephen Kendrick, T.C. The director of the film, Alex Kendrick, says this is a movie about the kind of spiritual warfare that every one of us ought to be involved in.\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Alex: <\/strong>We paint a picture of \u201cWhat does fighting in prayer look like?\u201d We do not say that the magic of prayer is because you pray in an empty closet, a full closet, whatever, but that you find a place that you are not distracted\u2014that you are tuned in and focused on the Lord. This is your time to totally seek Him with your whole heart. The Lord says, \u201cYou seek Me and you\u2019ll find Me if you seek Me with all your heart.\u201d So, it\u2019s time to go to war.\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Bob: <\/strong>This is a special edition of <em>FamilyLife Today<\/em> for Friday, August 28<sup>th<\/sup>. This is the first time we\u2019ve ever had both a Tuesday and a Friday edition, simultaneously. The reason for that is because we\u2019re recording this program on a Tuesday. This is Tuesday, February 10<sup>th<\/sup>, and we\u2019ve just pulled out of Key West onboard the <em>Love Like You Mean It<\/em> marriage cruise. We have a great studio audience joining us here. [Applause]\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\tBut today is also Friday, August 28<sup>th<\/sup>. This is the day that listeners are going to be joining us as we all head to the theaters today because of a new movie that is coming out in theaters tonight. \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Dennis: <\/strong>The <em>War Room<\/em> is about to descend on theaters across the nation. We have the co-creators of <em>War Room<\/em>, Stephen and Alex Kendrick, back with us on <em>FamilyLife Today<\/em>. Welcome back, guys.\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Alex and Stephen: <\/strong>Thank you.\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Dennis: <\/strong>And welcome them; will you? [Applause]\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>2:00<\/strong>\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>\u00a0<\/strong>\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\tFolks know them from <em>Fireproof <\/em>\/<em> Courageous, <\/em>but they\u2019ve also brought\u2014well, we\u2019ll have to tell the story. Last night, as we began the <em>Love Like You Mean It <\/em>cruise, Bob really introduced T.C. Stallings. Tell the audience\u2014the listening audience\u2014how you introduced and talked about him last night, as we began our cruise.\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Bob: <\/strong>Well, as you\u2019ll see in the movie, <em>War Room<\/em>, he\u2019s kind of a jerk\u2014really, is what he is\u2014[Laughter]\u2014but by the end, he is not only repented and he\u2019s forgiven, but he\u2019s also pretty awesome when it comes to jump roping too. So\u2014[Laughter]\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Dennis:<\/strong> I just\u2014T.C., I have a question for you: \u201cThe scene where you dunk the basketball,\u2014\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>T.C.: <\/strong>Yes.\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Dennis: <\/strong>\u201c\u2014did you have help in doing that?\u201d Now, tell the truth.\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>T.C.: <\/strong>Yes, I threw it off the backboard. [Laughter]\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Dennis: <\/strong>And that was not T.C. Stallings!\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>T.C.: <\/strong>No\u2014yes.\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Dennis: <\/strong>That\u2019s our disrupted part of our program. [Laughter]\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\tMichael Jr., welcome to the broadcast. I thought it was cool that every stunt, every flip, every acrobatic thing\u2014he didn\u2019t know that I could do some of those things\u2014and he gave me a chance to show it all off. [Laughter]\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Bob: <\/strong>Wow. [Laughter] Well, but the jump ropes were all digital, so\u2014I\u2019m kidding. [Laughter] \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Dennis: <\/strong>No, they were real! \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Bob: <\/strong>Yes, they were real. \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>T.C.: <\/strong>About four months before we shot, he told me\u2014now, that\u2019s the one thing I\u2019ve never done in my life. He was telling me all these things: \u201cYou\u2019re going to dunk.\u201d I said, \u201cOkay.\u201d He said, \u201cYou\u2019re going to back-flip.\u201d I said, \u201cOkay.\u201d \u201cAnd then you\u2019re going to Double Dutch.\u201d I\u2019m like, \u201cDouble who?\u201d [Laughter] So I spent a few months learning how to do that. They brought a coach on, and it all came together.\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Bob: <\/strong>Who knows where you\u2019ve seen T.C. Stallings before?\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Audience: <\/strong><em>Courageous<\/em>.\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>\u00a0<\/strong>\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Bob: <\/strong>Yes\u2014in <em>Courageous<\/em>. You were the <em>thug<\/em> in <em>Courageous<\/em>; right?\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>T.C.: <\/strong>Iwas a bad guy\u2014yes.\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Bob: <\/strong>You were the baddest of bad guys. I didn\u2019t want to be in your way <em>at all<\/em> in <em>Courageous<\/em>, man. [Laughter] So, that was really the first time you\u2019d ever acted; right?\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>4:00<\/strong>\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>\u00a0<\/strong>\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>T.C.: <\/strong>Yes\u2014that was the first time. Before that all\u2014I\u2019d done some work with <em>The Animal Planet<\/em>, but that was just a reality TV show. So it was not acting. I\u2019ve never taken any acting classes\u2014I\u2019ve never trained in that area. [Applause] My folks\u2014\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Dennis: <\/strong>Well T.C., some folks from Hollywood saw you. You\u2019ve now been in three movies since then; right?\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>T.C.: <\/strong>Yes. Well, actually, this one would make my sixth film. I\u2019ve had six films and three commercials. Yes, an agent in L.A. saw <em>Courageous<\/em>\u2014asked me to come out. I told her\u2014I thought it was ridiculous\u2014so I told her absolutely everything I wouldn\u2019t do. I said: \u201cI\u2019m probably not going to make you a lot of money. I\u2019m going to probably say, \u2018No,\u2019 to everything that you want me to do. I want you to understand my place.\u201d \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\tShe said: \u201cI think God has something for you. I have a Christian agent in L.A.\u2014a highly-reputable agency.\u201d She brought me out there. All she does is send me clean work, and that\u2019s what I get. That\u2019s always the way it\u2019s going to be. [Applause]\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Bob: <\/strong>Wow.\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>5:00<\/strong>\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>\u00a0<\/strong>\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Dennis: <\/strong>Speaking of rookies\u2014Michael Jr., you had to have been in several Oscar-winning performances before this; right?\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Michael: <\/strong>I was in a couple movies\u2014there\u2019s a movie theater on the corner of 28<sup>th<\/sup> Street at my house. [Laughter]\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\tI think it\u2019s legit! I\u2019m excited to be a part of it. I\u2019m glad I was able to add some funny to the film where I could\u2014so I\u2019m just excited. You guys did a\u2014y\u2019all ripped it up \/ you did a phenomenal job to the glory of God. [Applause]\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Dennis: <\/strong>Share with our listeners what this movie is all about.\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Alex: <\/strong>You know, between each of our films, we talk about going through a season of prayer, where we just say, \u201cGod, what do You want us to do next?\u201d The Lord has always been faithful \u2014that during that season, where we\u2019re praying \/ we\u2019re just seeking Him\u2014He always sends us in a direction. As our previous films\u2014it\u2019s been love, it\u2019s been lordship, it\u2019s been courageous parenting. \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\tThis time, it was the power of prayer\u2014 \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>6:00<\/strong>\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>\u00a0<\/strong>\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t\u2014the Lord saying, \u201cCall My people back to pray, to seek Me first, to do their fighting in prayer first,\u201d and to let God do what God\u2019s supposed to do. We do the trusting and the obedience unto the Lord. When we do it the proper way, and honor the Lord in the sense that He\u2019s meant and supposed to be honored, we\u2019ll see a difference in our culture. \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\tI would say\u2014even for the body of Christ in America\u2014our nation would be different if we unified and sought the Creator God, who is more powerful than any of our issues, and we sought Him together and humble ourselves before Him. We end with 2 Chronicles 7:14 at the end of the movie. That was spoken to Israel, but that principle applies to us\u2014we must humble ourselves before the Lord and seek Him.\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Bob: <\/strong>Stephen, with the themes you\u2019ve tackled over the years, one thing that has seemed to be in every movie is marriage and family.\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Stephen: <\/strong>Yes.\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>7:00<\/strong>\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>\u00a0<\/strong>\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Bob: <\/strong>You\u2019re obviously aware of that. As you\u2019re dealing with whatever the themes are, that\u2019s the context in which you\u2019re dealing with them. Talk about that a little bit.\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Stephen: <\/strong>Well, it is the core of our society. If we do so many other things, but we don\u2019t fix the home, then, at the cell level, there\u2019s still a disease in our culture. So, we always want to be telling a story that presents biblical truth in a way that\u2019s emotionally-encouraging \/ entertaining. We want people to laugh, and cry, and be caught up in the story; but we want them to see marriage from a biblical perspective, parenting from a biblical perspective, reconciliation\/redemption from a biblical perspective. \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\tThere are so many people in our culture now\u2014they don\u2019t know what a godly home looks like, or they don\u2019t know what a marriage should look like. So, we try to start every film with where people are and then take them on a journey of where they should be by the end of the movie\u2014pointing them to a biblical standard\u2014so that they say, \u201cOkay, now I know where to head,\u201d \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>8:00<\/strong>\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>\u00a0<\/strong>\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t\u201cNow I know I need to go apologize to my spouse that way,\u201d or \u201cI need to be seeking the Lord like Elizabeth does in the closet in <em>War Room.\u201d <\/em>The Lord has honored that, and we want to keep growing in that way.\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Bob: <\/strong>I watched this movie and I thought to myself, \u201cWe could just show <em>Fireproof<\/em> on Friday night at the <em>Weekend to Remember<\/em><sup>\u00ae<\/sup>, show this on Saturday morning, and let them have the rest of the weekend off.\u201d [Laughter] We pretty much got it covered\u2014I mean, you\u2019re dealing with the core themes, Alex, that every couple is wrestling with in a marriage relationship.\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Alex: <\/strong>And you know\u2014when you watch the film \/ really, either of those films\u2014from the worst it is in the film to the best it becomes\u2014somewhere, all of us are on that journey. We may be at different points; but all of us have faced these issues. All of us have faced the frustration, and sometimes bewilderment, and sometimes bitterness, and \u201cHow do we handle those?\u201d There is a God who says, \u201cI have the answer for how you handle each of these things.\u201d He presents truth to us, but then we have to obey. We have to walk in faith and apply those truths to our lives. When we do, He can do amazing things. \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>9:00<\/strong>\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>\u00a0<\/strong>\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\tIn <em>War Room<\/em>\u2014in <em>Fireproof<\/em>, it was coming from the vantage point of what Scripture says love does and love is \/ this time, we\u2019re talking about prayer\u2014both <em>essentials<\/em> in a God-honoring marriage.\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Dennis: <\/strong>Marriage is a spiritual institution\u2014God created it. As I was watching the film, I thought of all you folks, here on the cruise\u2014some 2,000 folks\u2014and I thought, \u201cYou know, there are marriages here that have burdens, battles, valleys, struggles, big-time issues in your marriage because you\u2019re human beings.\u201d I thought: \u201cWhat a <em>great <\/em>message for them to hear, at the beginning of the cruise\u2014that there is a God, who cares about every person here and how they arrived on this cruise,\u201d\u2014and every listener who\u2019s listening to our broadcast\u2014\u201cRegardless of your burden, there is a God in heaven whose ear is attentive to our prayers.\u201d \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\tYou guys just took it on\u2014I thought, \u201cYou went for the jugular on this one,\u201d because you really talk about\u2014[Applause] \u2014\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>10:00<\/strong>\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>\u00a0<\/strong>\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t\u2014of imperfect people, following Jesus Christ, and casting their burdens on Him. Stephen, it nailed it; didn\u2019t it?\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Stephen: <\/strong>Well, we look back to a dad who grew up with a dysfunctional father himself. I would stumble upon my father, on his knees, in his prayer closet, crying out to God to help him to be a good husband and a good father. We saw incredible answers to prayer in our parents\u2019 lives. So, we saw our faith was not in the wisdom of men\u2014it was in the power of God. That\u2019s what we grew up with. \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\tSo, we\u2019ve been crying out to the Lord for our own marriages, our own hearts, [and] our own children. I\u2019m praying now for my great-grandchildren\u2014who are\u2014My oldest is 13 right now\u2014my kids are looking at me; and I\u2019m telling them, \u201cI\u2019m already praying for your kids and your grandkids,\u201d because we can\u2014there\u2019s not an issue that we\u2019re dealing with right now\u2014in our culture, in the church, or in the home\u2014that prayer cannot address because there is a living, powerful God, who is asking us to pray to Him. \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>11:00<\/strong>\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>\u00a0<\/strong>\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\tHe\u2019s inviting us, through Christ \/ everything He did, so that we could pray to Him.\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Dennis: <\/strong>You think about how we wear ourselves out, taking the burden on ourselves, trying to fix these things. I want to go back to what you said. You said your dad\u2014did he actually have a closet like this?\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Stephen: <\/strong>Yes. Yes\u2014he had a prayer closet.\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Dennis: <\/strong>Describe it.\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Stephen: <\/strong>Well, it was full of clothes, you know; but there was an open area. There were all of his ties\u2014his \u201870s \/ 1970s, ties were hanging there. He would go in there, and get on his knees and pray to the Lord. Our mom is a praying mom. She, even now, at 72 years of age, gets up every morning and cries out to God for us and for our kids. \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\tSo, there\u2019s a whole lot of wind in the sails. We set the sails and the Lord has been blessing the fruitfulness of these ministries, but we know we\u2019re standing on the shoulders of some godly people who are behind us. We wanted you to do the same thing in our home, and we want other people in the church to do the same thing for their families.\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Alex: <\/strong>Yes, so we paint a picture of: \u201cWhat does fighting in prayer look like?\u201d\u00a0 \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>12:00<\/strong>\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>\u00a0<\/strong>\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\tYou see Elizabeth and you see Miss Clara going to war in their closets. Now, I hope you caught in the movie\u2014we do not say that the magic of prayer is because you pray in an empty closet, a full closet, whatever\u2014but that you find a place that you are not distracted. Initially, she walks in there\u2014this character\u2014and she\u2019s looking at her shoes, and she\u2019s doing this, and she\u2019s all distracted. Eventually, she says, \u201cNo, I\u2019m going to find a place that\u2019s exclusively my place to go before the Lord.\u201d The point is that you are tuned in and focused on the Lord\u2014that this is the time to totally seek Him with your whole heart. \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\tIf you notice\u2014when she goes to war and she starts building strategies\u2014for her daughter Danielle \/ for her future, for Elizabeth herself, for her husband, for their marriage, for their community. We start in the individual battlefield and then, by the end of the movie, what have we done? We\u2019ve expanded. We\u2019re praying for our corporate battlefield and our Kingdom battlefield, which is our whole entire culture. \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>13:00<\/strong>\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>\u00a0<\/strong>\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\tMiss Clara finishes this movie with the prayer that I hope we all get to\u2014we are praying for our leaders, and the body of Christ, and our influence, and etc., etc., etc. The Lord says, \u201cYou seek Me, and you\u2019ll find Me if you seek Me with all your heart,\u201d\u2014so it\u2019s time to go to war.\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Bob: <\/strong>As you\u2019re talking about this, I\u2019m thinking back to two years ago, when you were with us on this cruise. You spoke on this subject of prayer and having a strategy for prayer. This is something God\u2019s had on your heart for awhile.\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Alex: <\/strong>He has. You know\u2014the Lord ends up tilling the soil, and then stirring in us, and then, as that fruit begins to grow, we begin figuring it out ourselves because Steve and I are not the smartest guys on the planet. We need the Lord to show us what to do. [Laughter]\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\tBut anyway, the more we walk with Him, and obey the Lord, and seek Him\u2014and yes, there\u2019s work to be done \/ yes, we have to put forth a lot of effort\u2014we want excellence\u2014but the fruit\u2014the change in your hearts and in the hearts of the people who see this movie\u2014that\u2019s only from the Holy Spirit.\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>14:00<\/strong>\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>\u00a0<\/strong>\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Stephen: <\/strong>That\u2019s right.\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Alex: <\/strong>We\u2019re just here to say, \u201cLord, we\u2019ll do what You\u2019ve called us to do.\u201d\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Stephen: <\/strong>Well, the godliest men in Christian history were men of prayer. You look at Hudson Taylor\u2019s spiritual secret\u2014his spiritual secret was prayer. You look at George Mueller, at the end of his life\u201450,000 documented answers to prayer in his life \/ 5,000 were answered on the day he prayed them. You look at the greatest men in Scripture\u2014were men of prayer. Abraham was a man of prayer. David was a man of prayer. Paul was a man of prayer. \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\tIn the church, we\u2019re called, and commissioned, and commanded to be people of prayer\u2014to make His church a house of prayer, to be devoted to prayer in our own lives, to put on the armor of God daily and to be praying at all times for all the saints in all occasions. We\u2019ve been disobedient, as a church, to that calling. We\u2019re reaping the consequences of our disobedience in our culture because we\u2019re trying to solve problems in human effort, with human wisdom, and we\u2019re failing.\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Dennis: <\/strong>That\u2019s right.\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Stephen: <\/strong>So we, as a church, have a great opportunity in our generation to do what they did at the beginning of every Great Awakening\u2014and that is to get on our knees, and to cry out to God, and to say, \u201cOur sufficiency is totally in You.\u201d\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>15:00<\/strong>\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>\u00a0<\/strong>\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Alex: <\/strong>And the more you do that, you will learn how to fight the <em>right <\/em>battles the <em>right<\/em> way with the <em>right<\/em> resources. That is very, very important\u2014that we fight the right battles the right way with the right resources. You do not fight in your flesh. You do not fight with <em>emotion<\/em>. You guys know emotion will mess you over if you let emotion drive your marriage \/ if you let emotion drive your ministry. Oh man, you cannot do that. \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\tYou must fight with the Word of God\u2014what He says\u2014that\u2019s truth, and then you apply it to your life. The right battles with the right resources. You have a very real enemy\u2014your spouse is not your enemy \/ our government leaders are <em>not <\/em>our enemy.\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Stephen: <\/strong>That\u2019s right.\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Alex: <\/strong>Right? But there is an enemy that wants to stay hidden. Miss Clara said it best in the <em>War Room<\/em> movie: \u201cHe wants to stay hidden. It\u2019s our job to seek the God over him and that he would be exposed.\u201d We pray the Lord\u2019s principles, the Lord\u2019s way, and that\u2019s where you see fruit.\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>16:00<\/strong>\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>\u00a0<\/strong>\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Dennis: <\/strong>I want to ask the Kendrick brothers a question because, in the movie, there\u2019s this scene where there are answers to prayer that are framed.\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Stephen: <\/strong>Yes.\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Alex: <\/strong>Yes.\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Dennis: <\/strong>You mentioned your father had a prayer closet.\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Alex: <\/strong>Yes.\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Dennis: <\/strong>Did he also have some spiritual artifacts framed as well?\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Alex: <\/strong>Oh, those\u2014as a matter of fact, if you were to look at those in slow motion, those prayer requests were <em>all real<\/em>\u2014like if you could zoom in on them\u2014\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Stephen: <\/strong>The answers to prayer were real answers to prayer.\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Alex: <\/strong>Yes. They were\u2014\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Stephen: <\/strong>They were the real answers to prayer over the years. And the pictures around there are really\u2014\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Alex: <\/strong>\u2014answers to prayer. Yes. They\u2019re all real. We didn\u2019t make up anything.\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Dennis: <\/strong>\u2014of your father\u2019s?\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Alex: <\/strong>Well, some of them were from him but not all of them.\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Dennis: <\/strong>Okay.\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Alex: <\/strong>And some of them were from some of the leaders on our crew that said\u2014because every single day, we\u2019d start off with devotions and prayer time. Some of them were like, \u201cThe biggest answer to prayer\u2014we\u2019d pray for this and this happened.\u201d So that\u2019s on that sheet. Some of them were from our family, yes; but some of them were from the crew. When you see that\u2014and this is going to be on the DVD \/ it\u2019s part of the DVD\u2014when you zoom in\u00a0 and start looking at those things, all of them are real. All of them are real answers to prayer.\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>17:00<\/strong>\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>\u00a0<\/strong>\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Michael Jr.: <\/strong>Are you telling the house story yet, or you not doing that yet?\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Dennis: <\/strong>What\u2019s the house story?\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Alex: <\/strong>Well, on set, we saw God answer prayer after prayer on set. Miss Clara\u2019s house\u2014that older white with the columns in the front that she\u2019s on \/ the nice front porch with the rocking chairs\u2014we were praying for a home\u2014couldn\u2019t find the proper home. We had this type of home in mind. Stephen and I were walking through the neighborhood and see this house\u2014that we ended up shooting at\u2014for sale \/ asked the guy if we could rent it for one month to shoot in it. His agent didn\u2019t want that to happen because it had been on the market for <em>nine months<\/em> with no bites. His agent said, \u201cNo, this is going to mess\u2014because they\u2019re going to want to come in and redo the wallpaper and paint,\u201d\u2014which we did. \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\tBut we prayed for favor. That guy said, \u201cOkay, I\u2019m going to let you have it for one month.\u201d We paid him a fair rent, went in there, did all our work\u2014shot the movie. We started praying, \u201cGod, would You sell this house to bless this guy who owns it \/ that\u2019s been trying to sell it?\u2014because nothing\u2019s happened for nine months.\u201d \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>18:00<\/strong>\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>\u00a0<\/strong>\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\tThe <em>day<\/em> we finished shooting in that house,\u2014<em>the day<\/em>\u2014a couple comes up to look at the house\u2014they fall in love with it \/ they make an offer\u2014the guy immediately accepts. They sold the house <em>the day<\/em> we finished shooting. [Applause] Thank God! You see what happened here\u2014nine months, nothing going on\u2014and God says, \u201cI\u2019ve set this house aside for My movie.\u201d [Applause]\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Stephen: <\/strong>Well, let me say this too\u2014when we met the gentleman at the house, we said: \u201cWe\u2019re making a Christian movie. Are you a person of faith?\u201d He said, \u201cI\u2019m a pastor.\u201d We go into his house and we said, \u201cIn this room, we\u2019re actually going to take a bedroom and we\u2019re going to build a closet, and then, this is going to be Miss Clara\u2019s prayer closet.\u201d He said, \u201cThat\u2019s where I do my devotions every morning\u2014\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Bob: <\/strong>Wow.\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Stephen: <\/strong>\u2014\u201cis inside that room.\u201d We\u2019re like, \u201cThis is the place!\u201d God just went before us in every detail He worked out.\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Bob: <\/strong>Did it surprise you\u2014sitting in this room, listening to this audience watch your movie?\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Alex: <\/strong>The first thing that surprised me is how hard Michael Jr. cried during the movie. [Laughter]\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>19:00<\/strong>\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>\u00a0<\/strong>\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Michael: <\/strong>I\u2019m not going to lie\u2014I did cry a little bit.\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Alex: <\/strong>I\u2019m grateful. Even more important than a laugh or tearing up\u2014is that you see truth, and that you apply it as we are, and that you walk away from this, hopefully, inspired to say, \u201cIt\u2019s time to amp up my prayer life.\u201d If you do that, that\u2019s the fruit we\u2019re looking for.\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Bob: <\/strong>How important\u2014just remind our listeners how important this weekend is for this movie and for Christian movies in general; will you?\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Stephen: <\/strong>Sure. Opening weekend for any film really determines the fate of the film in theaters. It determines the number of theaters \/ it determines how wide the reach that it goes. What Hollywood does\u2014and what the studios do\u2014is: Monday morning, they look at opening weekend; and then they make the determining decisions as to how many more or less theaters\u2014they\u2019ll shut down a movie \/ it\u2019ll last only one weekend if people don\u2019t go see it. They say, \u201cOh, I\u2019ll just wait until later on.\u201d Well, it may not be there if you don\u2019t go see it soon. \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\tWe encourage people: \u201cPlease go see it opening weekend. Take your church. \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>20:00<\/strong>\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>\u00a0<\/strong>\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t\u201cMore importantly, use the movie in your churches, your families, your ministries to launch them into prayer and to begin to become people of prayer in your church\u2014launch prayer movements \/ prayer training\u2014those kinds of things.\u201d\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Bob: <\/strong>Dennis, I wish our listeners could have been here, with our studio audience, when this movie was over because I\u2019ve been in movies where, when it\u2019s over, there are cheers, and where there\u2019s applause, and where an audience responds. We couldn\u2019t get this audience to quit cheering for this movie. \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Dennis: <\/strong>We couldn\u2019t. I think the reason is all of us here felt like it resonated within our spirit in terms of what we wish God would do, not only in our own marriages \/ in our families, but also across our nation and around the world.\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>T.C.: <\/strong>I catch a lot of people\u2014they say Christian movies and things\u2014you\u2019ve probably heard this before: \u201cThey\u2019re too cheesy,\u201d\u2014that they\u2019re unrealistic. I think the reaction with the people standing up and, throughout the movie\u2014clapping at certain points\u2014 is because, when God comes through when you didn\u2019t think He would, or this miracle happens, or that miracle happens\u2014the world calls it, \u201ccheese\u201d; Christians call it \u201cour reality.\u201d [Applause] That\u2019s what I have to say.\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>21:00<\/strong>\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>\u00a0<\/strong>\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t[Studio]\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Bob: <\/strong>Well, once again, we want to thank Alex and Stephen Kendrick, T.C.
