I found it interesting, Bob, I looked at the definition of legacy in Webster\u2019s dictionary and it's interesting.\u00a0 It talks about a piece of property or money or belongings that are passed down from one generation to the next.\u00a0 It didn\u2019t really talk about character, memories, some of those matters.\u00a0 So I just kind of pinned what I thought a legacy is.\u00a0 \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Bob:<\/strong>\u00a0 So if we looked it up in Rainey\u2019s dictionary.\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Dennis:<\/strong>\u00a0 Well, at least I don\u2019t know if we\u2019d want to print this, but it's just a good working definition.\u00a0 It's something handed down by one who has gone before us in the past and left to those in the present and the future.\u00a0 \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\tIt's back what we have been talking about.\u00a0 It's I think a life that is lived on purpose, intentional about what kind of life is going to be lived and to whose honor, whose credit that life is going to be lived and what it\u2019s going to be about.\u00a0 Is it going to be about me and what I have done?\u00a0 What I have accomplished?\u00a0 Or is it going to be about something much bigger than just yourself?\u00a0 It's going to be about a God who\u2019s working out a masterful plan and we get to be a part of it.\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Bob:<\/strong>\u00a0 When you get to the end of life and go beyond the end of this life, those who are left behind they\u2019re going to remember something about you.\u00a0 They\u2019re going to have some memories.\u00a0 To a large extent, that\u2019s going to be your legacy, what folks remember about you and what your life stood for, right?\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Dennis:<\/strong>\u00a0 Yes.\u00a0 We have attended funerals where we\u2019ve sat there listening to a person\u2019s life be summarized.\u00a0 Sometimes, they\u2019re elderly people who lived 80-90 years where there are a lot of qualities.\u00a0 Sometimes, they\u2019re young people; 10, 11, 12 years of age.\u00a0 I performed a funeral onetime for a six-year-old boy, and he left the legacy.\u00a0 His life left an imprint. \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\tWe\u2019ve really been summarizing here a couple of things.\u00a0 One, everyone has been given a legacy of some kind for good or for evil.\u00a0 Everybody\u2019s had something handed down to them.\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Bob:<\/strong><strong>\u00a0 <\/strong>The heritage that you\u2019ve received.\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Dennis:<\/strong><strong>\u00a0 <\/strong>Right.\u00a0 And then secondly, everyone also leaves a legacy just by virtue of your choices, your life.\u00a0 So the question is, \u201cyou\u2019re just going to let that happen or you\u2019re going to try to be more intentional about it?\u201d\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Bob:<\/strong><strong>\u00a0 <\/strong>We\u2019ve been doing this for almost 18 years now, and one of the things you have loved to do with guests is to get to the end of the program and ask them to reflect on the heritage they\u2019ve been given to often look back and say, \u201cWhat was the impact of a mom or a dad on your life or somebody notable on your life\u201d because that\u2019s part of the legacy that person has left.\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Dennis:<\/strong><strong>\u00a0 <\/strong>Yes.\u00a0 It's really fun to set across the table as we did with RV Brown.\u00a0 There are times, Bob, when you just wish this was TV because there\u2019s so much more going on than the just the voice and what it commutes.\u00a0 RV Brown is a passionate man.\u00a0 He is an evangelist.\u00a0 He loves young people.\u00a0 He loves his family.\u00a0 He\u2019s got a huge family all across the country, his brothers and sisters.\u00a0 I think he was one of 17 children.\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Bob:<\/strong>\u00a0 And his biceps are bigger than my waist I believe.\u00a0 Don\u2019t you think?\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Dennis:<\/strong><strong>\u00a0 <\/strong>Yeah.\u00a0 I\u2019m not going to talk about that because I need to lose a few off of my biceps as well.\u00a0 \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\tWe asked him to give a tribute to his dad who was Willie \u201cFish\u201d Brown.\u00a0 I just want to tell you, there\u2019ve been some times here in the studio where you just felt like the studio was in a honeycomb.\u00a0 It just was sweet.\u00a0 Now, I want you to listen to this man\u2019s legacy, Willie \u201cFish\u201d Brown, who couldn\u2019t read but who made a dramatic impact.\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Bob:<\/strong><strong>\u00a0 <\/strong>As you listen, what you\u2019re listing for is the legacy that was left.\u00a0 The legacy that is still shaping a son\u2019s life today and the character of a father that still is alive through the life of his son.\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>RV Brown:<\/strong>\u00a0 Daddy Fish, I just want to thank you from the bottom of my heart, first of all, for loving my mama.\u00a0 And then, secondly, for loving me and kissing me and rubbing my little round head, telling me to go to school and everything was going to be okay.\u00a0 \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\tDad, I want to thank you for taking me fishing, July the 6th, 1959, for the first time. Today, my son fished.\u00a0 I took him to the same spot, Daddy, and we stood there until he caught a fish.\u00a0 \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\tDad, I wanted to tell you what an awesome leader you were.\u00a0 With no education, Dad, you taught me, you educated me how to love, how to appreciate you, Dad.\u00a0 Not only how to appreciate you but to enjoy my life today because of what you did and how you loved me, Dad. \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\tI wish I could hug you today, Dad.\u00a0 But I know you're sitting where you can see everything that your son is doing now.\u00a0 Dad, I always ask you, and I say it all the time, Dad, how am I doing, Dad?\u00a0 \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\tWhen I look at your picture and Mama's picture over my head in my easy chair, I always look at it and say, \"Daddy, am I doing okay?\u00a0 Am I loving my wife the way you loved my mom?\u201d\u00a0 \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\tDad, thank you for being a dad and not a father.\u00a0 Thank you for taking me fishing and sitting down and talking with me on the bank when nothing was biting.\u00a0 Dad, thank you for teaching me how to farm, to take care of other people and share whatever I've got with other people, Dad.\u00a0 \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\tI'm the kind of man I am today because of who you are, Dad.\u00a0 I just pray for other dads that they love their children and love their wives the way my Dad loved my mom and loved us.\u00a0 Even today, Dad, I\u2019m next to the baby and I keep the family together, Dad, because once a year, twice a year, I will get them altogether, and we have dinner together, Dad, just like we did at your house at New Year\u2019s Day.\u00a0 \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\tThank you, Dad and Mom, for being who you are.\u00a0 You live to this day inside of me, Dad.\u00a0 Every day I wake up, I see you, Dad.\u00a0 I see you, I see your smile.\u00a0 I see the way you walked and I see the way you talked to people.\u00a0 Remember, Dad, I asked you did that man know you?\u00a0 You said, \u201cNo, but I just think he thinks he knows me.\u201d\u00a0 But he would talk to me.\u00a0 My son asks me the same thing, Dad.\u00a0 \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\tWhen people walk at me and start a conversation he would ask me Dad, do you know that guy?\u00a0 I said, no but he knows me.\u00a0 It's the same thing, Dad, it's happening all over again because of what you did.\u00a0 Willie Fish, you're a godly man.\u00a0 Even though you couldn't read you taught me how to love through the Word of God, and not only you couldn't read it, but you explained it to me.\u00a0 \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\tDad, thank you for being my dad.\u00a0 I wouldn't want anybody else to be my dad but you, Dad.\u00a0 Thank you for loving Mama.\u00a0 Thank you for the leadership and the authority in which you raised us in.\u00a0 Thank you for the discipline.\u00a0 \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\tAnd most above, father, I want to thank you for that hug and that kiss and that little rub on my little round head, and saying, \u201dYou\u2019re going to be okay, son.\u201d\u00a0 Dad, I love you.\u00a0 And one day, I'll spend eternity with you.\u00a0 Thanks, Dad.\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Bob:<\/strong><strong>\u00a0 <\/strong>You listen back to that and there\u2019re some themes.\u00a0 You heard him say \u201clove\u201d an awful lot.\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Dennis:<\/strong>\u00a0 You know there\u2019s a side of me that says Bob we just need to close our broadcast in prayer.\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t(laughter)\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\tYou just thank about life that is well lived.\u00a0 Obviously, Willie \u201cFish\u201d Brown wasn\u2019t perfect, we all know that.\u00a0 He had his downsides and probably his contrary side to him by the time he died over 100 years of age.\u00a0 But you could tell from the look on RV\u2019s face when we asked him that question his dad had left the legacy, a profound imprint in his life.\u00a0 \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\tI think what he illustrates here for what we\u2019re trying to challenge individuals to consider.\u00a0 What kind of imprint are you leaving?\u00a0 What\u2019s the next generation going to remember about you?\u00a0 What are your friends going to say about you at your memorial service?\u00a0 Was it about you or was it about what God was doing?\u00a0 \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Bob:<\/strong>\u00a0 Again, the theme of love shines through loud and clear.\u00a0 I remember being at a going-away party for one of our coworkers a number of years ago and hearing the people on his staff step forward and talk about how much they knew that their boss had cared for them and prayed for them and loved them.\u00a0 \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\tI thought I don\u2019t know of the folks who worked for me and step forward and say those kinds of things.\u00a0 And it really gets you to stop and think \u201cwhat is the legacy you\u2019re leaving?\u00a0 What do people remember about you?\u00a0 What marks your life?\u201d\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Dennis:<\/strong><strong>\u00a0 <\/strong>Right.\u00a0 What we\u2019re trying to do here in these broadcasts is just give you some components of what comprises a legacy.\u00a0 We\u2019ve have already shared how a legacy really begins with your concept of who God is and whether or not you fear him.\u00a0 Are you centered on him because if you don\u2019t know who he is, your own life is not going to have context.\u00a0 It's not going to have the eternal value that well Willie \u201cFish\u201d Brown\u2019s life had.\u00a0 \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\tAnd then, the second thing we talked about was how your legacy is determined by who your master is.\u00a0 Are you going to be the master of soul, the captain of your own faith, or is there One Lord Jesus Christ that you\u2019re surrendered to and submitted to?\u00a0 I\u2019m going to tell you, that\u2019s the beginning right there, knowing who God is and surrendering your life to the savior are the beginnings of a great legacy.\u00a0 \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\tAnd then we moved to the theme, Bob, that you\u2019ve been pointing us to here which is the third component of I think a godly legacy.\u00a0 Your legacy is defined by the loves of your life.\u00a0 You only need to look over in 1 Corinthians Chapter 13 to find out how important love is.\u00a0 I know most of our listeners know about this probably one of the most famous chapters in all of the New Testament.\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\tIt says, \u201cLove is patient and kind.\u00a0 Love does not envy or boast.\u00a0 It\u2019s not arrogant or rude.\u00a0 It does not insist on its own way.\u00a0 It is not irritated or resentful.\u00a0 It does not rejoice at wrongdoing but rejoices with the truth.\u00a0 Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.\u00a0 Love never ends.\u201d\u00a0 Then the chapter concludes, \u201cso now faith, hope and love abide these three, but the greatest of these is love.\u201d\u00a0 \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\tI love a statement made by the author of the <em>Lord of the Rings<\/em>, J. R. R. Tolkien.\u00a0 He said, \u201cThe essential task of living is to put our loves in order,\u201d I really like that. \u201cThe essential task of living is to put our loves in order.\u201d\u00a0 \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\tSo the first question is, \u201cWho or what do you love?\u201d\u00a0 Earlier, Bob, I asked you the question, how would you summarize the concept of legacy?\u00a0 And you said --\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Bob<\/strong>:\u00a0 I said it\u2019s really about what have you valued in life?\u00a0 What you leave as a legacy is a reflection of what you valued in your life.\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Dennis<\/strong>:\u00a0 Right.\u00a0 And what you love is what you value.\u00a0 So as we talk about the whole concept of what you love and who you love, you would expect us to begin here on <em>FamilyLife Today<\/em> by talking about \u201cdo you love God?\u201d\u00a0 I mean first and foremost, if you got him in first place, whoever or whatever is in second place, there\u2019s going to be a whole lot more love to go around if you\u2019re re loving God and allowing him to love you.\u00a0 It\u2019s just that simple.\u00a0 \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\tBut I think we have to quickly move to our spouses and ask the question \u201cdo you really love your spouse?\u201d\u00a0 I believe, Bob, as I was preparing for this broadcast, I started thinking about this, I really think in this culture today perhaps one of the most significant components of our legacy is the commitment we have to our spouse.\u00a0 \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\tOur children are going up going to kindergarten and grade school, all the way through high school and to college, and I know because my children came back and told me, they said, \u201cDad, divorce is everywhere.\u00a0 I mean all my friends are grown up in homes where people have thrown in the towel.\u201d\u00a0 You know, Bob, we don\u2019t throw stones at people who get divorce.\u00a0 In fact, I am sure there is a huge portion of our audience listening to our broadcast here who are divorced, and we welcome everyone to listen this broadcast to learn how to do it God\u2019s way.\u00a0 \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\tBut divorce isn't his way.\u00a0 I think commitment is what God calls us to model and exemplify and to really demonstrate before our children.\u00a0 So our children at the end of our lives they say, \u201cMom and Dad weren\u2019t perfect but Mom and Dad were committed. They were committed to God and they were committed to one another.\u201d\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Bob<\/strong>:\u00a0 There is something that is passed on to the next generation when they see a legacy of covenantal love lived out in a marriage relationship.\u00a0 Even those who have been widely successful in the business world or in the sports arena or in the entertainment world but who have not been able to live out a faithful commitment in marriage we can celebrate their talents.\u00a0 \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\tBut when it come right down to it, what's at the core of a person is not how far you can throw a football or how many Academy Awards you have on your shelf or how tall was the skyscraper you built.\u00a0 What you really are looking for that resonates in the generational heartbeat is what was your character and how that gets lived out in the relationship between a husband and a wife is foundational.\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Dennis<\/strong>:\u00a0 It's made up of a zillion little decisions and little acts of love and little moments when we\u2019re impatient with each other.\u00a0 Then we have to say \u201cwe\u2019re sorry.\u201d\u00a0 \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\tThe other night Barbara came to me and she said, \u201cI am sorry.\u00a0 I was short with you when you asked me that question.\u201d\u00a0 And honestly, Bob, I hadn\u2019t noticed that she was short with me.\u00a0 So I said, \u201cWhat are you talking about?\u201d\u00a0 She said, \u201cOh you asked me about this gift that I have purchased.\u00a0 I\u2019d already told you once and I was just impatient with you because you asked me again.\u00a0 I said, \u201cWell, sweetheart, I really didn\u2019t notice.\u201d\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Bob<\/strong>:\u00a0 So did you then apologize for not paying attention to it?\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Dennis<\/strong>:\u00a0 No.\u00a0 I really didn\u2019t.\u00a0 But I do want to say this because I know there\u2019re some listeners hearing us talk about this and you may have not heard one of the assumptions about our legacies that I made earlier.\u00a0 I want to restate this.\u00a0 \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\tEvery legacy will be marred by sin.\u00a0 No legacy is going to be accomplished without some mistakes but the key is perseverance.\u00a0 And even if you\u2019re divorced once, twice, God forbid, multiple times.\u00a0 You know what, you can make a difference.\u00a0 \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\tThere are those who are listening to this broadcast right now who received a legacy that they wish they hadn't received. Maybe it was a broken home.\u00a0 Maybe it was a home filled with evil.\u00a0 You know what, by the grace of God and the power of the Holy Spirit and by the authority of God\u2019s word; you can live a different legacy.\u00a0 \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\tYou do not have to be imprisoned by the past legacy that was fostered upon you by those who perhaps didn\u2019t know Jesus Christ.\u00a0 It's back to what Tolkien said, \u201cThe essential task in life is to put your loves in order\u201d to figure out how you\u2019re going to love, how you\u2019re going to love well that begins by loving God.\u00a0 \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\tSecondly you love your spouse, thirdly you love and pursue your children, you date your daughters, you go out on dates with your sons, and I\u2019m talking about mom and dad at this point.\u00a0 You just figure a way to pursue your children relationally when they\u2019re little, when they get big and then when they\u2019re adults.\u00a0 You never stop pursuing them and loving them and letting them know that they are as one person said, \u201cA child is a mom and dad\u2019s heart walking around outside their body.\u201d\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Bob:<\/strong>\u00a0 You know you listened back to what RV Brown reflected on when he looked back at his dad\u2019s life.\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Dennis:<\/strong>\u00a0 And how many of those reflections were around relationships.\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Bob:<\/strong>\u00a0 That\u2019s right, \u201cthank you for your loving mom, I knew you loved mom.\u00a0 Thank you for loving me and for rubbing my little round head,\u201d to just listen to how much of that legacy revolved around the core of marriage and family and the love that was present there.\u00a0 It really does have to be one of our key priorities as we built a legacy to pass on to the next generation.\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Dennis:<\/strong>\u00a0 I want to conclude with the Apostle Paul\u2019s words, just remind you, I mean these resonate, \u201cso now faith, hope and love abide, these three, but the greatest of these is love.\u201d\u00a0 \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\tSomeday, we\u2019re all going to die.\u00a0 People are going to be sad and there will be some songs and be some things said.\u00a0 If you missed love, you missed life.\u00a0 If you don\u2019t know how to love, you need to find a mentor, someone you can attach yourself to, a same sex mentor at church and say, \u201cYou know what, I want you to teach me how to be a true lover of people.\u201d\u00a0 \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\tI tell you it\u2019s a lifelong pursuit, that\u2019s all I can tell you.\u00a0 \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Bob:<\/strong>\u00a0 You still learning?\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Dennis:<\/strong>\u00a0 Yes, I\u2019m still learning.\u00a0 It's a lifelong school you go to.\u00a0 But that\u2019s really what the scriptures are all about.\u00a0 It's taking the God who exemplified love in Jesus Christ and explained love in him.\u00a0 He gives us the assignment, some of us, of getting married and having children.\u00a0 And then he takes us to school and he trains us in how to love.\u00a0 A family is a great incubator to learn how to grow love.\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Bob:<\/strong>\u00a0 It's interesting because that is one of the lessons that is taught in the new <em>VeggieTales<\/em> DVD that we\u2019ve been talking about this week.\u00a0 It\u2019s called <em>It\u2019s a Meaningful Life.<\/em>\u00a0 And Larry the Cucumber, I didn\u2019t know this until this week, but he\u2019s apparently a regular listener of <em>FamilyLife Today<\/em> and with this series in particular, tying in with the <em>It's a Meaningful Life<\/em> DVD.\u00a0 He\u2019s been paying particular attention and he is back with us again here today.\u00a0 Larry, welcome to <em>FamilyLife Today<\/em>.\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Larry<\/strong>:\u00a0 Well, thank you.\u00a0 Great to be back on.\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Bob<\/strong>:\u00a0 We have been talking about your new DVD which is called <em>It's a Meaningful Life<\/em>.\u00a0 And in fact, a lot of the themes that you address in this DVD are themes we\u2019ve been talking about.\u00a0 And included with the DVD is an insert that we put together on how families can have a more meaningful life.\u00a0 But I just wanted to ask you, one of the themes in this DVD has to do with a little girl who gets adopted, right?\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Larry<\/strong>:\u00a0 Yeah.\u00a0 And the story \u2013 her name is Emma and she is my adopted daughter and she is a cutie pie.\u00a0 And she\u2019s actually \u2013 her voice was done by Stevey Joy Chapman, Steven Curtis Chapman\u2019s daughter.\u00a0 And so we are working with Steven Curtis and along with Show Hope and talking about adoption a little bit that way.\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Bob<\/strong>:\u00a0 Well, they\u2019re great friends of ours and have been guests here on <em>FamilyLife Today<\/em> and of course, adoption is one of those themes that is near and dear to our heart as well.\u00a0 It really is a part of the legacy that a family lives when they invest in, when they bring into the family a new member like this.\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Larry<\/strong>:\u00a0 Oh yeah, absolutely, and that plays a big part in our story \u201cMeaningful Life\u201d to show really what the life of this little girl would have been like if I hadn't been there to adopt her.\u00a0 I think it's a pretty \u201cIf you are Yeshua Ha'Mashiach, call some angels and tell them to get you off the cross because there seems to be an inconsistency here.\u00a0 An inconsistency between the claims that you\u2019re the Messiah and the fact that you are right now dying a criminal\u2019s death by execution.\u00a0 So do something, Jesus, if you are who you say you are.\u201d\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Actor 2:<\/strong>\u00a0 \u201cForgive them Father, for they know not what they do.\u201d\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Actor 1:<\/strong>\u00a0 \u201cThey didn\u2019t understand that the promise of the Messiah wasn\u2019t just about Jesus and what he experienced in his own life.\u00a0 It was about the fruit that his death, Wednesday edition.\u00a0 We\u2019re talking this week about Living Life with the end in mind.\u00a0 Having a purposefulness for our life.\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Dennis:<\/strong>\u00a0 We are.\u00a0 We\u2019re talking about your legacy. I found it interesting, Bob, I looked at the definition of legacy in Webster\u2019s dictionary and it's interesting.\u00a0 It talks about a piece of property or money or belongings that are passed down from one generation to the next.\u00a0 It didn\u2019t really talk about character, memories, some of those matters.\u00a0 So I just kind of pinned what I thought a legacy is.\u00a0 \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Bob:<\/strong>\u00a0 So if we looked it up in Rainey\u2019s dictionary.\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Dennis:<\/strong>\u00a0 Well, at least I don\u2019t know if we\u2019d want to print this, but it's just a good working definition.\u00a0 It's something handed down by one who has gone before us in the past and left to those in the present and the future.\u00a0 \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\tIt's back what we have been talking about.\u00a0 It's I think a life that is lived on purpose, intentional about what kind of life is going to be lived and to whose honor, whose credit that life is going to be lived and what it\u2019s going to be about.\u00a0 Is it going to be about me and what I have done?\u00a0 What I have accomplished?\u00a0 Or is it going to be about something much bigger than just yourself?\u00a0 It's going to be about a God who\u2019s working out a masterful plan and we get to be a part of it.\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Bob:<\/strong>\u00a0 When you get to the end of life and go beyond the end of this life, those who are left behind they\u2019re going to remember something about you.\u00a0 They\u2019re going to have some memories.\u00a0 To a large extent, that\u2019s going to be your legacy, what folks remember about you and what your life stood for, right?\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Dennis:<\/strong>\u00a0 Yes.\u00a0 We have attended funerals where we\u2019ve sat there listening to a person\u2019s life be summarized.\u00a0 Sometimes, they\u2019re elderly people who lived 80-90 years where there are a lot of qualities.\u00a0 Sometimes, they\u2019re young people; 10, 11, 12 years of age.\u00a0 I performed a funeral onetime for a six-year-old boy, and he left the legacy.\u00a0 His life left an imprint. \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\tWe\u2019ve really been summarizing here a couple of things.\u00a0 One, everyone has been given a legacy of some kind for good or for evil.\u00a0 Everybody\u2019s had something handed down to them.\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Bob:<\/strong><strong>\u00a0 <\/strong>The heritage that you\u2019ve received.\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Dennis:<\/strong><strong>\u00a0 <\/strong>Right.\u00a0 And then secondly, everyone also leaves a legacy just by virtue of your choices, your life.\u00a0 So the question is, \u201cyou\u2019re just going to let that happen or you\u2019re going to try to be more intentional about it?\u201d\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Bob:<\/strong><strong>\u00a0 <\/strong>We\u2019ve been doing this for almost 18 years now, and one of the things you have loved to do with guests is to get to the end of the program and ask them to reflect on the heritage they\u2019ve been given to often look back and say, \u201cWhat was the impact of a mom or a dad on your life or somebody notable on your life\u201d because that\u2019s part of the legacy that person has left.\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Dennis:<\/strong><strong>\u00a0 <\/strong>Yes.\u00a0 It's really fun to set across the table as we did with RV Brown.\u00a0 There are times, Bob, when you just wish this was TV because there\u2019s so much more going on than the just the voice and what it commutes.\u00a0 RV Brown is a passionate man.\u00a0 He is an evangelist.\u00a0 He loves young people.\u00a0 He loves his family.\u00a0 He\u2019s got a huge family all across the country, his brothers and sisters.\u00a0 I think he was one of 17 children.\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Bob:<\/strong>\u00a0 And his biceps are bigger than my waist I believe.\u00a0 Don\u2019t you think?\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Dennis:<\/strong><strong>\u00a0 <\/strong>Yeah.\u00a0 I\u2019m not going to talk about that because I need to lose a few off of my biceps as well.\u00a0 \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\tWe asked him to give a tribute to his dad who was Willie \u201cFish\u201d Brown.\u00a0 I just want to tell you, there\u2019ve been some times here in the studio where you just felt like the studio was in a honeycomb.\u00a0 It just was sweet.\u00a0 Now, I want you to listen to this man\u2019s legacy, Willie \u201cFish\u201d Brown, who couldn\u2019t read but who made a dramatic impact.\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Bob:<\/strong><strong>\u00a0 <\/strong>As you listen, what you\u2019re listing for is the legacy that was left.\u00a0 The legacy that is still shaping a son\u2019s life today and the character of a father that still is alive through the life of his son.\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>RV Brown:<\/strong>\u00a0 Daddy Fish, I just want to thank you from the bottom of my heart, first of all, for loving my mama.\u00a0 And then, secondly, for loving me and kissing me and rubbing my little round head, telling me to go to school and everything was going to be okay.\u00a0 \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\tDad, I want to thank you for taking me fishing, July the 6th, 1959, for the first time. Today, my son fished.\u00a0 I took him to the same spot, Daddy, and we stood there until he caught a fish.\u00a0 \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\tDad, I wanted to tell you what an awesome leader you were.\u00a0 With no education, Dad, you taught me, you educated me how to love, how to appreciate you, Dad.\u00a0 Not only how to appreciate you but to enjoy my life today because of what you did and how you loved me, Dad. \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\tI wish I could hug you today, Dad.\u00a0 But I know you're sitting where you can see everything that your son is doing now.\u00a0 Dad, I always ask you, and I say it all the time, Dad, how am I doing, Dad?\u00a0 \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\tWhen I look at your picture and Mama's picture over my head in my easy chair, I always look at it and say, \"Daddy, am I doing okay?\u00a0 Am I loving my wife the way you loved my mom?\u201d\u00a0 \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\tDad, thank you for being a dad and not a father.\u00a0 Thank you for taking me fishing and sitting down and talking with me on the bank when nothing was biting.\u00a0 Dad, thank you for teaching me how to farm, to take care of other people and share whatever I've got with other people, Dad.\u00a0 \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\tI'm the kind of man I am today because of who you are, Dad.\u00a0 I just pray for other dads that they love their children and love their wives the way my Dad loved my mom and loved us.\u00a0 Even today, Dad, I\u2019m next to the baby and I keep the family together, Dad, because once a year, twice a year, I will get them altogether, and we have dinner together, Dad, just like we did at your house at New Year\u2019s Day.\u00a0 \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\tThank you, Dad and Mom, for being who you are.\u00a0 You live to this day inside of me, Dad.\u00a0 Every day I wake up, I see you, Dad.\u00a0 I see you, I see your smile.\u00a0 I see the way you walked and I see the way you talked to people.\u00a0 Remember, Dad, I asked you did that man know you?\u00a0 You said, \u201cNo, but I just think he thinks he knows me.\u201d\u00a0 But he would talk to me.\u00a0 My son asks me the same thing, Dad.\u00a0 \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\tWhen people walk at me and start a conversation he would ask me Dad, do you know that guy?\u00a0 I said, no but he knows me.\u00a0 It's the same thing, Dad, it's happening all over again because of what you did.\u00a0 Willie Fish, you're a godly man.\u00a0 Even though you couldn't read you taught me how to love through the Word of God, and not only you couldn't read it, but you explained it to me.\u00a0 \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\tDad, thank you for being my dad.\u00a0 I wouldn't want anybody else to be my dad but you, Dad.\u00a0 Thank you for loving Mama.\u00a0 Thank you for the leadership and the authority in which you raised us in.\u00a0 Thank you for the discipline.\u00a0 \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\tAnd most above, father, I want to thank you for that hug and that kiss and that little rub on my little round head, and saying, \u201dYou\u2019re going to be okay, son.\u201d\u00a0 Dad, I love you.\u00a0 And one day, I'll spend eternity with you.\u00a0 Thanks, Dad.\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Bob:<\/strong><strong>\u00a0 <\/strong>You listen back to that and there\u2019re some themes.\u00a0 You heard him say \u201clove\u201d an awful lot.\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Dennis:<\/strong>\u00a0 You know there\u2019s a side of me that says Bob we just need to close our broadcast in prayer.\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t(laughter)\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\tYou just thank about life that is well lived.\u00a0 Obviously, Willie \u201cFish\u201d Brown wasn\u2019t perfect, we all know that.\u00a0 He had his downsides and probably his contrary side to him by the time he died over 100 years of age.\u00a0 But you could tell from the look on RV\u2019s face when we asked him that question his dad had left the legacy, a profound imprint in his life.\u00a0 \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\tI think what he illustrates here for what we\u2019re trying to challenge individuals to consider.\u00a0 What kind of imprint are you leaving?\u00a0 What\u2019s the next generation going to remember about you?\u00a0 What are your friends going to say about you at your memorial service?\u00a0 Was it about you or was it about what God was doing?\u00a0 \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Bob:<\/strong>\u00a0 Again, the theme of love shines through loud and clear.\u00a0 I remember being at a going-away party for one of our coworkers a number of years ago and hearing the people on his staff step forward and talk about how much they knew that their boss had cared for them and prayed for them and loved them.\u00a0 \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\tI thought I don\u2019t know of the folks who worked for me and step forward and say those kinds of things.\u00a0 And it really gets you to stop and think \u201cwhat is the legacy you\u2019re leaving?\u00a0 What do people remember about you?\u00a0 What marks your life?\u201d\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Dennis:<\/strong><strong>\u00a0 <\/strong>Right.\u00a0 What we\u2019re trying to do here in these broadcasts is just give you some components of what comprises a legacy.\u00a0 We\u2019ve have already shared how a legacy really begins with your concept of who God is and whether or not you fear him.\u00a0 Are you centered on him because if you don\u2019t know who he is, your own life is not going to have context.\u00a0 It's not going to have the eternal value that well Willie \u201cFish\u201d Brown\u2019s life had.\u00a0 \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\tAnd then, the second thing we talked about was how your legacy is determined by who your master is.\u00a0 Are you going to be the master of soul, the captain of your own faith, or is there One Lord Jesus Christ that you\u2019re surrendered to and submitted to?\u00a0 I\u2019m going to tell you, that\u2019s the beginning right there, knowing who God is and surrendering your life to the savior are the beginnings of a great legacy.\u00a0 \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\tAnd then we moved to the theme, Bob, that you\u2019ve been pointing us to here which is the third component of I think a godly legacy.\u00a0 Your legacy is defined by the loves of your life.\u00a0 You only need to look over in 1 Corinthians Chapter 13 to find out how important love is.\u00a0 I know most of our listeners know about this probably one of the most famous chapters in all of the New Testament.\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\tIt says, \u201cLove is patient and kind.\u00a0 Love does not envy or boast.\u00a0 It\u2019s not arrogant or rude.\u00a0 It does not insist on its own way.\u00a0 It is not irritated or resentful.\u00a0 It does not rejoice at wrongdoing but rejoices with the truth.\u00a0 Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.\u00a0 Love never ends.\u201d\u00a0 Then the chapter concludes, \u201cso now faith, hope and love abide these three, but the greatest of these is love.\u201d\u00a0 \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\tI love a statement made by the author of the <em>Lord of the Rings<\/em>, J. R. R. Tolkien.\u00a0 He said, \u201cThe essential task of living is to put our loves in order,\u201d I really like that. \u201cThe essential task of living is to put our loves in order.\u201d\u00a0 \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\tSo the first question is, \u201cWho or what do you love?\u201d\u00a0 Earlier, Bob, I asked you the question, how would you summarize the concept of legacy?\u00a0 And you said --\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Bob<\/strong>:\u00a0 I said it\u2019s really about what have you valued in life?\u00a0 What you leave as a legacy is a reflection of what you valued in your life.\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Dennis<\/strong>:\u00a0 Right.\u00a0 And what you love is what you value.\u00a0 So as we talk about the whole concept of what you love and who you love, you would expect us to begin here on <em>FamilyLife Today<\/em> by talking about \u201cdo you love God?\u201d\u00a0 I mean first and foremost, if you got him in first place, whoever or whatever is in second place, there\u2019s going to be a whole lot more love to go around if you\u2019re re loving God and allowing him to love you.\u00a0 It\u2019s just that simple.\u00a0 \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\tBut I think we have to quickly move to our spouses and ask the question \u201cdo you really love your spouse?\u201d\u00a0 I believe, Bob, as I was preparing for this broadcast, I started thinking about this, I really think in this culture today perhaps one of the most significant components of our legacy is the commitment we have to our spouse.\u00a0 \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\tOur children are going up going to kindergarten and grade school, all the way through high school and to college, and I know because my children came back and told me, they said, \u201cDad, divorce is everywhere.\u00a0 I mean all my friends are grown up in homes where people have thrown in the towel.\u201d\u00a0 You know, Bob, we don\u2019t throw stones at people who get divorce.\u00a0 In fact, I am sure there is a huge portion of our audience listening to our broadcast here who are divorced, and we welcome everyone to listen this broadcast to learn how to do it God\u2019s way.\u00a0 \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\tBut divorce isn't his way.\u00a0 I think commitment is what God calls us to model and exemplify and to really demonstrate before our children.\u00a0 So our children at the end of our lives they say, \u201cMom and Dad weren\u2019t perfect but Mom and Dad were committed. They were committed to God and they were committed to one another.\u201d\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Bob<\/strong>:\u00a0 There is something that is passed on to the next generation when they see a legacy of covenantal love lived out in a marriage relationship.\u00a0 Even those who have been widely successful in the business world or in the sports arena or in the entertainment world but who have not been able to live out a faithful commitment in marriage we can celebrate their talents.\u00a0 \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\tBut when it come right down to it, what's at the core of a person is not how far you can throw a football or how many Academy Awards you have on your shelf or how tall was the skyscraper you built.\u00a0 What you really are looking for that resonates in the generational heartbeat is what was your character and how that gets lived out in the relationship between a husband and a wife is foundational.\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Dennis<\/strong>:\u00a0 It's made up of a zillion little decisions and little acts of love and little moments when we\u2019re impatient with each other.\u00a0 Then we have to say \u201cwe\u2019re sorry.\u201d\u00a0 \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\tThe other night Barbara came to me and she said, \u201cI am sorry.\u00a0 I was short with you when you asked me that question.\u201d\u00a0 And honestly, Bob, I hadn\u2019t noticed that she was short with me.\u00a0 So I said, \u201cWhat are you talking about?\u201d\u00a0 She said, \u201cOh you asked me about this gift that I have purchased.\u00a0 I\u2019d already told you once and I was just impatient with you because you asked me again.\u00a0 I said, \u201cWell, sweetheart, I really didn\u2019t notice.\u201d\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Bob<\/strong>:\u00a0 So did you then apologize for not paying attention to it?\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Dennis<\/strong>:\u00a0 No.\u00a0 I really didn\u2019t.\u00a0 But I do want to say this because I know there\u2019re some listeners hearing us talk about this and you may have not heard one of the assumptions about our legacies that I made earlier.\u00a0 I want to restate this.\u00a0 \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\tEvery legacy will be marred by sin.\u00a0 No legacy is going to be accomplished without some mistakes but the key is perseverance.\u00a0 And even if you\u2019re divorced once, twice, God forbid, multiple times.\u00a0 You know what, you can make a difference.\u00a0 \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\tThere are those who are listening to this broadcast right now who received a legacy that they wish they hadn't received. Maybe it was a broken home.\u00a0 Maybe it was a home filled with evil.\u00a0 You know what, by the grace of God and the power of the Holy Spirit and by the authority of God\u2019s word; you can live a different legacy.\u00a0 \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\tYou do not have to be imprisoned by the past legacy that was fostered upon you by those who perhaps didn\u2019t know Jesus Christ.\u00a0 It's back to what Tolkien said, \u201cThe essential task in life is to put your loves in order\u201d to figure out how you\u2019re going to love, how you\u2019re going to love well that begins by loving God.\u00a0 \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\tSecondly you love your spouse, thirdly you love and pursue your children, you date your daughters, you go out on dates with your sons, and I\u2019m talking about mom and dad at this point.\u00a0 You just figure a way to pursue your children relationally when they\u2019re little, when they get big and then when they\u2019re adults.\u00a0 You never stop pursuing them and loving them and letting them know that they are as one person said, \u201cA child is a mom and dad\u2019s heart walking around outside their body.\u201d\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Bob:<\/strong>\u00a0 You know you listened back to what RV Brown reflected on when he looked back at his dad\u2019s life.\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Dennis:<\/strong>\u00a0 And how many of those reflections were around relationships.\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Bob:<\/strong>\u00a0 That\u2019s right, \u201cthank you for your loving mom, I knew you loved mom.\u00a0 Thank you for loving me and for rubbing my little round head,\u201d to just listen to how much of that legacy revolved around the core of marriage and family and the love that was present there.\u00a0 It really does have to be one of our key priorities as we built a legacy to pass on to the next generation.\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Dennis:<\/strong>\u00a0 I want to conclude with the Apostle Paul\u2019s words, just remind you, I mean these resonate, \u201cso now faith, hope and love abide, these three, but the greatest of these is love.\u201d\u00a0 \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\tSomeday, we\u2019re all going to die.\u00a0 People are going to be sad and there will be some songs and be some things said.\u00a0 If you missed love, you missed life.\u00a0 If you don\u2019t know how to love, you need to find a mentor, someone you can attach yourself to, a same sex mentor at church and say, \u201cYou know what, I want you to teach me how to be a true lover of people.\u201d\u00a0 \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\tI tell you it\u2019s a lifelong pursuit, that\u2019s all I can tell you.\u00a0 \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Bob:<\/strong>\u00a0 You still learning?\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Dennis:<\/strong>\u00a0 Yes, I\u2019m still learning.\u00a0 It's a lifelong school you go to.\u00a0 But that\u2019s really what the scriptures are all about.\u00a0 It's taking the God who exemplified love in Jesus Christ and explained love in him.\u00a0 He gives us the assignment, some of us, of getting married and having children.\u00a0 And then he takes us to school and he trains us in how to love.\u00a0 A family is a great incubator to learn how to grow love.\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Bob:<\/strong>\u00a0 It's interesting because that is one of the lessons that is taught in the new <em>VeggieTales<\/em> DVD that we\u2019ve been talking about this week.\u00a0 It\u2019s called <em>It\u2019s a Meaningful Life.<\/em>\u00a0 And Larry the Cucumber, I didn\u2019t know this until this week, but he\u2019s apparently a on.\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Bob<\/strong>:\u00a0 We have been talking about your new DVD which is called <em>It's a Meaningful Life<\/em>.\u00a0 And in fact, a lot of the themes that you address in this DVD are themes we\u2019ve been talking about.\u00a0 And included with the DVD is an insert that we put together on how families can have a more meaningful life.\u00a0 But I just friends of ours and have been guests here on <em>FamilyLife Today<\/em> and of course, adoption is one of those themes that is near and dear to our heart as well.\u00a0 It really is a part of the legacy that a family lives when they invest in, when they bring into the family a new member like this.\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Larry<\/strong>:\u00a0 Oh yeah, absolutely, and that plays a big part in our story \u201cMeaningful Life\u201d to show really what the life of this little girl would have been like if I hadn't been there to adopt her.\u00a0 I think it's a pretty
