Can\u2019t you just see I\u2019m completely drugs addicted? I have HIV. I will die very quickly.\u201d But in one day\u2014in the middle of the night\u2014five boys from street came and a lot of them say, \u201cYou told for us about God\u2014and we have decision. We are in\u2014a very special live studio audience with us on today\u2019s program. We are at the Christian Alliance for Orphans Summit 2018. [Cheering and applause] \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Gennadiy:<\/strong> Like inside my orphanage. [Laughter] \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Bob:<\/strong> I love it. I love it. That\u2019s great. We have a chance to introduce all of these folks to the man who is probably\u2014I think he has claimed the title of the leader of the Ukrainian\u2014the Tour de Ukraine\u2014isn\u2019t that what they call it? \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>2:00<\/strong>\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Dennis:<\/strong> It\u2019s around the world on a bike. \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Gennadiy:<\/strong> Tour de Orphan. \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Bob:<\/strong> Tour de Orphan\u2014I like that. That\u2019s even better. \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Dennis:<\/strong> I want to challenge all of you here in the live audience and also who are listening by radio\u2014tonight or tomorrow\u2014to read Hebrews, Chapter 11; okay? This is a chapter in the Bible that talks about faith. It starts in Hebrews 11:6. \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\tIt says, \u201cAnd without faith, it is impossible to please Him, for whoever must believe God must draw near to Him and believe that He exists and that He rewards those who seek Him.\u201d Then, it lists a number of saints in the Bible who were men and women of faith. It says they were tortured, they suffered, they were flogged, they suffered imprisonment, stoned\u2014sawn in two\u2014they were killed with the sword. \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>3:00<\/strong>\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\tIt closes by saying these were men and women \u201cof whom the world is not worthy.\u201d \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Bob:<\/strong> That\u2019s right. \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Dennis:<\/strong> You\u2019re about to meet a man who could easily find his name\u2014I believe we could\u2014in Hebrews, Chapter 11, because he is a man of faith. I believe that he is going to spur us to love and good deeds. Pastor Gennadiy is a pastor in Ukraine. He is pastored for 25 years. He\u2019s been married to Elena for 26 years, and he\u2019s got a few kids. We\u2019ll talk more about that in just a moment. \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Bob:<\/strong> We have interrupted him because he is in the middle of a bike ride. It started in Laguna Beach, California. \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Dennis:<\/strong> Well, this leg. \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Bob:<\/strong> Yes, this leg. Where are you going to end up on this bike ride? Do you know where it ends? \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Gennadiy:<\/strong> No. \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Bob:<\/strong> No?! \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Gennadiy:<\/strong> I misunderstood something.\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Bob:<\/strong> Yes, you started\u2014\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Gennadiy:<\/strong> When we drove through California and Arizona, 110 Fahrenheit. \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Bob:<\/strong> Yes. \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>4:00<\/strong>\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Gennadiy:<\/strong> My brain stopped like this. [Laughter] My English was bad before, but after these first days\u2014\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Bob:<\/strong> Much worse? \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Gennadiy:<\/strong> Yes, sorry. [Laughter] \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Dennis:<\/strong> We just interrupted\u2014he just went through, literally, Death Valley on bicycle. \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Bob:<\/strong> Yes, in another couple of weeks, in fact, about the time we\u2019re hearing this on <em>FamilyLife Today<\/em>, you\u2019re going to end up in Miami. \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Gennadiy:<\/strong> Yes, we stop\u2014this is the last stage around the world bicycle trip with my sons\u2014with my adopted sons\u2014and we\u2014before this stage, we go through all Russia, all Ukraine, and all Europe like this. It was 14,000 miles before. Five days ago, we start from L.A.\u2014Laguna Beach\u2014and last five days, 500 kilometers\u2014so I think it\u2019s 250 miles. \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Bob:<\/strong> Yes. \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>5:00<\/strong>\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Gennadiy:<\/strong> It\u2019s <em>so<\/em> hot here. \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Bob:<\/strong> Yes. \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Gennadiy:<\/strong> It\u2019s <em>so<\/em> hot here. Can\u2019t you see it\u2019s not water for you? I will drink all of it. \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Dennis:<\/strong> No, he\u2014\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Gennadiy:<\/strong> I feel myself not like man; like horse. [Laughter] I drink so much. \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Dennis:<\/strong> Well, Pastor Gennadiy, before we talk about what\u2019s happening with orphans, first just talk about the family in general in your country. What\u2019s happening there? There is a breakdown that is an urgent crisis in your country. \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<br><strong>Gennadiy:<\/strong> We have completely family destroyed culture\u2014completely. Can you imagine? My mother had her brother, and I never had meet with him in my life. \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Bob:<\/strong> You never met him? \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Gennadiy:<\/strong> Never. We have destroyed family\u2014destroyed culture\u2014especially about adoption. \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>6:00<\/strong>\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\tTwenty years ago, when somebody adopted children like me and my friends, people\u2014Christian people\u2014not just people ask, \u201cWhat\u2019s happened? It\u2019s not possible to have biological?\u201d I hate this question. One time in my church I said, \u201cI must tell truth. I can have biological children.\u201d \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Dennis:<\/strong> In fact, you have three. \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Gennadiy:<\/strong> Yes, but I still can have biological\u2014\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Bob:<\/strong> Right. \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Gennadiy:<\/strong> \u2014because for people it was like something strange\u2014\u201cWow!\u201d\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Bob:<\/strong> No one would choose to adopt in Ukraine or in Russia unless they couldn\u2019t have their own children\u2014that\u2019s what you\u2019re saying? \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Gennadiy:<\/strong> Yes, but now, we start change this culture. \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Bob:<\/strong> You grew up in a home\u2014\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Gennadiy:<\/strong> Yes. \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Bob:<\/strong> \u2014that left scars on your own soul; didn\u2019t it? \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Gennadiy:<\/strong> Yes, my family was destroyed through alcohol addiction. \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>7:00<\/strong>\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\tWhole family connection was destroyed. Praise the Lord. God saved my family. My father and my mother and my sister\u2014all of them came to Jesus. \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Bob:<\/strong> Brought you to Christ first; right? \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Gennadiy:<\/strong> Yes. \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Bob:<\/strong> Who shared the Gospel with you? \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Gennadiy:<\/strong> It was a pastor from a little church\u2014ten people\u2014and he give many time for me. I was just joking and said, \u201cNo, no, it\u2019s so\u2014it\u2019s not interesting\u201d; but later it started working inside me, and I came to Jesus. Then, God saved my mother and my father and my sister, and I\u2019m a pastor 26 years. [Applause]\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Bob:<\/strong> I love it. \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Dennis:<\/strong> Share with our audience how you came near the orphan. Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn said, \u201cThere are two kinds of problems: those that are far away that we don\u2019t understand\u2014we never get close enough to feel it\u201d\u2014\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>8:00<\/strong>\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t\u2014\u201cand those where we\u2019ve experienced it up close and personal.\u201d How did it happen with you? \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Gennadiy:<\/strong> In my city, we had tragedy. Homeless children were everywhere. Each cross of roads, they live many years. They used drugs. They die from drugs. They kill people, and they were criminal. \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Bob:<\/strong> \u2014Just alone on the street? \u2014Just children alone\u2014with no parents? \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Gennadiy:<\/strong> Yes, many hundreds\u2014many hundreds in my city\u2014\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Bob:<\/strong> Wow. \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Gennadiy:<\/strong> \u2014many years. We just\u2014the first idea was\u2014\u201cI\u2019m a pastor. We have a church not so far the cross of roads where they live\u2014and what can we do?\u201d First idea was just give them food. We start prepare some food\u2014each day, same time\u2014we give them some food; but later\u2014and we give them Gospel also\u2014\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Bob:<\/strong> Yes. \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Gennadiy:<\/strong> \u2014and they told\u2014\u201cOkay, thank you for food, but don\u2019t talk about God\u2014don\u2019t talk about love because my mother\u201d\u2014\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>9:00<\/strong>\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t\u2014\u201csaid, \u2018Goodbye,\u2019 to me when I was five years old\u2014Can you just see I\u2019m completely drugs addicted?\u2014I have HIV\u2014I will die very quickly. Don\u2019t know about God\u2014know about Gospel\u201d\u2014but people from church just prepare food and give them. \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\tIn one day\u2014in the middle of the night\u2014five boys from street came inside a room\u2014\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Bob:<\/strong> Yes. \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Gennadiy:<\/strong> \u2014where lives the family who prepares the food for them. They asked, \u201cWhat\u2019s happening, guys?\u201d One of them said very bravely\u2014\u201cYou told for us about God. We\u2019re thinking\u2014and we have decision. We want to be a Christian. Take us and go to pastor for church. We must change our life.\u201d It was a long process. We just give them food and tell them about God. Nothing changed but later, first of them, came to church. \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>10:00<\/strong>\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\tNow this is a biggest children rehab center in former Soviet Union for homeless children. \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\tWhen we start give them food, we never thinking about around the world bicycle trip\u2014from what you wait other people for that trip\u2014but when we took them from street\u2014second point\u2014they started inviting their friends from street. I bought church building; and in 17 years, church doesn\u2019t have place there\u2014just homeless boys and homeless girls. \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\tLater, we start on this: \u201cThe real answer is family.\u201d It was the new step. We start to adopt them. It was my first adoption\u2014three boys and later five and later seven\u2014and never follow me. Now, I have number 32 adopted in my family; but it\u2019s not good example. [Applause] It\u2019s not good example. My story is crazy story\u2014never follow me. \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>11:00<\/strong>\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\tNobody needs to adopt 32\u2014 [Laughter] \u2014but I am sure we have enough very good Christian family who can adopt one\u2014maybe two. \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Dennis:<\/strong> Yes. \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Gennadiy:<\/strong> We have enough for adopt all orphans around the world. [Applause] There\u2019s something wrong with that. \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\tWhen we started this bicycle trip around the world\u2014it was a crazy idea\u2014but now, when we get 14,000 miles\u2014very often in the morning\u2014I think about many hundreds, hundreds, hundreds story about children who were adopted through this bicycle ride. I have many, many hundreds pictures\u2014many hundreds letters from people who said, \u201cPastor Gennadiy, thanks for you and your team\u2014for your adopted sons because\u201d\u2014\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>12:00<\/strong>\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t\u2014\u201cwe follow through Facebook, through different kind of\u2014we saw a movie\u2014and this decision about adoption grew inside.\u201d \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\tThis is my word. You know Tour de France, guys? \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Bob:<\/strong> Yes. \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Gennadiy:<\/strong> Tour de France\u2014well, they have the gold one day award the Tour de France, but we have more than gold or world gold\u2014we have hundreds, hundreds story when people adopt children after this. [Applause]\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Bob:<\/strong> You and your adopted sons riding from city to city\u2014it draws a crowd in those cities, and that\u2019s where you talk about adoption. The parents see the street children in their cities\u2014their hearts are moved\u2014and they are adopting these kids. \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Gennadiy:<\/strong> It\u2019s so many different ways. When we go through, we have press conference, mass media, newspapers, TV channels. Exactly. We have church and concert. \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>13:00<\/strong>\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\tMy sons\u2014they are acrobatics. They produce something on disk. People say, \u201cWhat is this?\u201d but through all these ways, more and more people start to hear about this project. Later, some of them say, \u201cWhy not?\u201d They start to prepare the commitment and adopt somebody. \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\tWhat I think about when I finish this circle around the world\u2014United States of America is not so easy for people from Ukraine and who live inside war ten miles from frontline. It\u2019s not so easy to organize this, and I want to say special thanks for Serving Orphans Worldwide: \u201cGuys, thank you so much Serving Orphans Worldwide for organizing everything.\u201d \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Dennis:<\/strong> So, you biked all the way across Siberia? \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Gennadiy:<\/strong> Yes, I did it, but it\u2014\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Dennis:<\/strong> Did you do that in the winter? \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Gennadiy:<\/strong> It was summer, and it was also hot\u2014not so hot like California and Arizona\u2014but also hot. \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>14:00<\/strong>\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Dennis:<\/strong> I want you to share your idea. We talked\u2014I wish the audience could have been in the back room listening to pastor share his heart for the orphan. It was shared that there was a number of leaders in your area of the world that were not addressing the needs of orphans\u2014and you had an idea of how to get their attention. \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Gennadiy:<\/strong> Yes. The general idea for this bicycle troupe, I think, about\u2014we must do something radical for attention\u2014\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Bob:<\/strong> Yes. \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Gennadiy:<\/strong> \u2014for people start hear us. Why do people now hear me? We have strange project around the world bicycle trip; yes? I know not each person can adopt somebody, but I know inside each church we have amazing, beautiful Christians family who can do it.\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>15:00<\/strong>\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\tMaybe, we have 10 - 15 families who stand with them together who will help them. [Gennadiy translates] \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Andre:<\/strong> [Gennadiy translates] I lived on the street for six years\u2014from six to 12. I had big problem in my family. When I was 12 years old, I met the people from church who gave food for us homeless children; and I had decision to be with them in my life. \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>17:00<\/strong>\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\tLater, Pastor Gennadiy, my father adopted. \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Gennadiy:<\/strong> Thank you for this. [Laughter] \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Dennis:<\/strong> And how did your life change as a result joining? [Gennadiy translates] \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Andre:<\/strong> [Gennadiy translates] If don\u2019t adoption\u2014if don\u2019t church\u2014I don\u2019t have chance to be here because\u2014now\u2014 [Andre speaks in English]\u2014I take part in the bicycle tour. [Laughter. Applause] I take part in the bicycle troupe because I want to inspire people to adopt.\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Dennis:<\/strong> Yes! Good for you! [Applause and cheering] \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Andre:<\/strong> Because this chance for children\u2014yes. \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>18:00<\/strong>\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\tI\u2019m now\u2014I am 30 years. Now, I have family\u2014yes. \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Dennis:<\/strong> Are you going to adopt any children? [Gennadiy translates]\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Andre:<\/strong> I want to adopt\u2014yes. This is my dream. I prayed. \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Gennadiy:<\/strong> Can you imagine from six to 12 he was on the street? He had the amazing family. His mother was acrobat\u2014circus acrobat\u2014but something happened with father\u2014nobody knows where is father. After that, his mother start use alcohol, and family destroyed. \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Bob:<\/strong> Yes. \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Gennadiy:<\/strong> When family destroyed, his adult brothers killed himself. His second brothers\u2014his mind was, like, destroyed. He was grown on the street\u2014half-life from six to 12\u2014but now, he\u2019s a worship leader in my church. [Applause] He\u2019s an amazing worship leader! \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>19:00<\/strong>\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Dennis:<\/strong> Well, we didn\u2019t get a chance to explore how this man of faith has chosen a life that matters; but he has a name that he calls his tribe of adopted children. It\u2019s called \u201cPilgrim.\u201d \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Gennadiy:<\/strong> Pilgrim\u2014yes. \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Dennis:<\/strong> Yes. \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Gennadiy:<\/strong> Republic Pilgrim\u2014it\u2019s like a country for homeless children. \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Bob:<\/strong> I love it\u2014The Republic of Pilgrims\u2014isn\u2019t that great? \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Dennis:<\/strong> 3,500 children have been through his rehab\u2014and you\u2019ve made a difference in a lot of people\u2019s lives. We are in\u2014a very special live studio audience with us on today\u2019s program. We are at the Christian Alliance for Orphans Summit 2018. [Cheering and applause] \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Gennadiy:<\/strong> Like inside my orphanage. [Laughter] \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Bob:<\/strong> I love it. I love it. That\u2019s great. We have a chance to introduce all of these folks to the man who is probably\u2014I think he has claimed the title of the leader of the Ukrainian\u2014the Tour de Ukraine\u2014isn\u2019t that what they call it? \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>2:00<\/strong>\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Dennis:<\/strong> It\u2019s around the world on a bike. \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Gennadiy:<\/strong> Tour de Orphan. \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Bob:<\/strong> Tour de Orphan\u2014I like that. That\u2019s even better. \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Dennis:<\/strong> I want to challenge all of you here in the live audience and also who are listening by radio\u2014tonight or tomorrow\u2014to read Hebrews, Chapter 11; okay? This is a chapter in the Bible that talks about faith. It starts in Hebrews 11:6. \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\tIt says, \u201cAnd without faith, it is impossible to please Him, for whoever must believe God must draw near to Him and believe that He exists and that He rewards those who seek Him.\u201d Then, it lists a number of saints in the Bible who were men and women of faith. It says they were tortured, they suffered, they were flogged, they suffered imprisonment, stoned\u2014sawn in two\u2014they were killed with the sword. \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>3:00<\/strong>\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\tIt closes by saying these were men and women \u201cof whom the world is not worthy.\u201d \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Bob:<\/strong> That\u2019s right. \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Dennis:<\/strong> You\u2019re about to meet a man who could easily find his name\u2014I believe we could\u2014in Hebrews, Chapter 11, because he is a man of faith. I believe that he is going to spur us to love and good deeds. Pastor Gennadiy is a pastor in Ukraine. He is pastored for 25 years. He\u2019s been married to Elena for 26 years, and he\u2019s got a few kids. We\u2019ll talk more about that in just a moment. \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Bob:<\/strong> We have interrupted him because he is in the middle of a bike ride. It started in Laguna Beach, California. \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Dennis:<\/strong> Well, this leg. \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Bob:<\/strong> Yes, this leg. Where are you going to end up on this bike ride? Do you know where it ends? \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Gennadiy:<\/strong> No. \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Bob:<\/strong> No?! \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Gennadiy:<\/strong> I misunderstood something.\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Bob:<\/strong> Yes, you started\u2014\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Gennadiy:<\/strong> When we drove through California and Arizona, 110 Fahrenheit. \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Bob:<\/strong> Yes. \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>4:00<\/strong>\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Gennadiy:<\/strong> My brain stopped like this. [Laughter] My English was bad before, but after these first days\u2014\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Bob:<\/strong> Much worse? \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Gennadiy:<\/strong> Yes, sorry. [Laughter] \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Dennis:<\/strong> We just interrupted\u2014he just went through, literally, Death Valley on bicycle. \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Bob:<\/strong> Yes, in another couple of weeks, in fact, about the time we\u2019re hearing this on <em>FamilyLife Today<\/em>, you\u2019re going to end up in Miami. \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Gennadiy:<\/strong> Yes, we stop\u2014this is the last stage around the world bicycle trip with my sons\u2014with my adopted sons\u2014and we\u2014before this stage, we go through all Russia, all Ukraine, and all Europe like this. It was 14,000 miles before. Five days ago, we start from L.A.\u2014Laguna Beach\u2014and last five days, 500 kilometers\u2014so I think it\u2019s 250 miles. \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Bob:<\/strong> Yes. \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>5:00<\/strong>\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Gennadiy:<\/strong> It\u2019s <em>so<\/em> hot here. \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Bob:<\/strong> Yes. \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Gennadiy:<\/strong> It\u2019s <em>so<\/em> hot here. Can\u2019t you see it\u2019s not water for you? I will drink all of it. \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Dennis:<\/strong> No, he\u2014\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Gennadiy:<\/strong> I feel myself not like man; like horse. [Laughter] I drink so much. \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Dennis:<\/strong> Well, Pastor Gennadiy, before we talk about what\u2019s happening with orphans, first just talk about the family in general in your country. What\u2019s happening there? There is a breakdown that is an urgent crisis in your country. \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<br><strong>Gennadiy:<\/strong> We have completely family destroyed culture\u2014completely. Can you imagine? My mother had her brother, and I never had meet with him in my life. \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Bob:<\/strong> You never met him? \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Gennadiy:<\/strong> Never. We have destroyed family\u2014destroyed culture\u2014especially about adoption. \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>6:00<\/strong>\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\tTwenty years ago, when somebody adopted children like me and my friends, people\u2014Christian people\u2014not just people ask, \u201cWhat\u2019s happened? It\u2019s not possible to have biological?\u201d I hate this question. One time in my church I said, \u201cI must tell truth. I can have biological children.\u201d \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Dennis:<\/strong> In fact, you have three. \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Gennadiy:<\/strong> Yes, but I still can have biological\u2014\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Bob:<\/strong> Right. \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Gennadiy:<\/strong> \u2014because for people it was like something strange\u2014\u201cWow!\u201d\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Bob:<\/strong> No one would choose to adopt in Ukraine or in Russia unless they couldn\u2019t have their own children\u2014that\u2019s what you\u2019re saying? \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Gennadiy:<\/strong> Yes, but now, we start change this culture. \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Bob:<\/strong> You grew up in a home\u2014\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Gennadiy:<\/strong> Yes. \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Bob:<\/strong> \u2014that left scars on your own soul; didn\u2019t it? \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Gennadiy:<\/strong> Yes, my family was destroyed through alcohol addiction. \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>7:00<\/strong>\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\tWhole family connection was destroyed. Praise the Lord. God saved my family. My father and my mother and my sister\u2014all of them came to Jesus. \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Bob:<\/strong> Brought you to Christ first; right? \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Gennadiy:<\/strong> Yes. \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Bob:<\/strong> Who shared the Gospel with you? \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Gennadiy:<\/strong> It was a pastor from a little church\u2014ten people\u2014and he give many time for me. I was just joking and said, \u201cNo, no, it\u2019s so\u2014it\u2019s not interesting\u201d; but later it started working inside me, and I came to Jesus. Then, God saved my mother and my father and my sister, and I\u2019m a pastor 26 years. [Applause]\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Bob:<\/strong> I love it. \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Dennis:<\/strong> Share with our audience how you came near the orphan. Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn said, \u201cThere are two kinds of problems: those that are far away that we don\u2019t understand\u2014we never get close enough to feel it\u201d\u2014\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>8:00<\/strong>\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t\u2014\u201cand those where we\u2019ve experienced it up close and personal.\u201d How did it happen with you? \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Gennadiy:<\/strong> In my city, we had tragedy. Homeless children were everywhere. Each cross of roads, they live many years. They used drugs. They die from drugs. They kill people, and they were criminal. \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Bob:<\/strong> \u2014Just alone on the street? \u2014Just children alone\u2014with no parents? \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Gennadiy:<\/strong> Yes, many hundreds\u2014many hundreds in my city\u2014\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Bob:<\/strong> Wow. \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Gennadiy:<\/strong> \u2014many years. We just\u2014the first idea was\u2014\u201cI\u2019m a pastor. We have a church not so far the cross of roads where they live\u2014and what can we do?\u201d First idea was just give them food. We start prepare some food\u2014each day, same time\u2014we give them some food; but later\u2014and we give them Gospel also\u2014\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Bob:<\/strong> Yes. \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Gennadiy:<\/strong> \u2014and they told\u2014\u201cOkay, thank you for food, but don\u2019t talk about God\u2014don\u2019t talk about love because my mother\u201d\u2014\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>9:00<\/strong>\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t\u2014\u201csaid, \u2018Goodbye,\u2019 to me when I was five years old\u2014Can you just see I\u2019m completely drugs addicted?\u2014I have HIV\u2014I will die very quickly. Don\u2019t know about God\u2014know about Gospel\u201d\u2014but people from church just prepare food and give them. \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\tIn one day\u2014in the middle of the night\u2014five boys from street came inside a room\u2014\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Bob:<\/strong> Yes. \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Gennadiy:<\/strong> \u2014where lives the family who prepares the food for them. They asked, \u201cWhat\u2019s happening, guys?\u201d One of them said very bravely\u2014\u201cYou told for us about God. We\u2019re thinking\u2014and we have decision. We want to be a Christian. Take us and go to pastor for church. We must change our life.\u201d It was a long process. We just give them food and tell them about God. Nothing changed but later, first of them, came to church. \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>10:00<\/strong>\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\tNow this is a biggest children rehab center in former Soviet Union for homeless children. \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\tWhen we start give them food, we never thinking about around the world bicycle trip\u2014from what you wait other people for that trip\u2014but when we took them from street\u2014second point\u2014they started inviting their friends from street. I bought church building; and in 17 years, church doesn\u2019t have place there\u2014just homeless boys and homeless girls. \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\tLater, we start on this: \u201cThe real answer is family.\u201d It was the new step. We start to adopt them. It was my first adoption\u2014three boys and later five and later seven\u2014and never follow me. Now, I have number 32 adopted in my family; but it\u2019s not good example. [Applause] It\u2019s not good example. My story is crazy story\u2014never follow me. \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>11:00<\/strong>\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\tNobody needs to adopt 32\u2014 [Laughter] \u2014but I am sure we have enough very good Christian family who can adopt one\u2014maybe two. \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Dennis:<\/strong> Yes. \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Gennadiy:<\/strong> We have enough for adopt all orphans around the world. [Applause] There\u2019s something wrong with that. \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\tWhen we started this bicycle trip around the world\u2014it was a crazy idea\u2014but now, when we get 14,000 miles\u2014very often in the morning\u2014I think about many hundreds, hundreds, hundreds story about children who were adopted through this bicycle ride. I have many, many hundreds pictures\u2014many hundreds letters from people who said, \u201cPastor Gennadiy, thanks for you and your team\u2014for your adopted sons because\u201d\u2014\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>12:00<\/strong>\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t\u2014\u201cwe follow through Facebook, through different kind of\u2014we saw a movie\u2014and this decision about adoption grew inside.\u201d \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\tThis is my word. You know Tour de France, guys? \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Bob:<\/strong> Yes. \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Gennadiy:<\/strong> Tour de France\u2014well, they have the gold one day award the Tour de France, but we have more than gold or world gold\u2014we have hundreds, hundreds story when people adopt children after this. [Applause]\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Bob:<\/strong> You and your adopted sons riding from city to city\u2014it draws a crowd in those cities, and that\u2019s where you talk about adoption. The parents see the street children in their cities\u2014their hearts are moved\u2014and they are adopting these kids. \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Gennadiy:<\/strong> It\u2019s so many different ways. When we go through, we have press conference, mass media, newspapers, TV channels. Exactly. We have church and concert. \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>13:00<\/strong>\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\tMy sons\u2014they are acrobatics. They produce something on disk. People say, \u201cWhat is this?\u201d but through all these ways, more and more people start to hear about this project. Later, some of them say, \u201cWhy not?\u201d They start to prepare the commitment and adopt somebody. \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\tWhat I think about when I finish this circle around the world\u2014United States of America is not so easy for people from Ukraine and who live inside war ten miles from frontline. It\u2019s not so easy to organize this, and I want to say special thanks for Serving Orphans Worldwide: \u201cGuys, thank you so much Serving Orphans Worldwide for organizing everything.\u201d \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Dennis:<\/strong> So, you biked all the way across Siberia? \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Gennadiy:<\/strong> Yes, I did it, but it\u2014\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Dennis:<\/strong> Did you do that in the winter? \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Gennadiy:<\/strong> It was summer, and it was also hot\u2014not so hot like California and Arizona\u2014but also hot. \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>14:00<\/strong>\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Dennis:<\/strong> I want you to share your idea. We talked\u2014I wish the audience could have been in the back room listening to pastor share his heart for the orphan. It was shared that there was a number of leaders in your area of the world that were not addressing the needs of orphans\u2014and you had an idea of how to get their attention. \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Gennadiy:<\/strong> Yes. The general idea for this bicycle troupe, I think, about\u2014we must do something radical for attention\u2014\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Bob:<\/strong> Yes. \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Gennadiy:<\/strong> \u2014for people start hear us. Why do people now hear me? We have strange project around the world bicycle trip; yes? I know not each person can adopt somebody, but I know inside each church we have amazing, beautiful Christians family who can do it.\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>15:00<\/strong>\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\tMaybe, we have 10 - 15 families who stand with them together who will help them. This is true. \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Bob:<\/strong> You\u2019ll do a little translating for us. \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Gennadiy:<\/strong> I will try. \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Bob:<\/strong> What do you remember about being adopted? [Gennadiy translates] \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Andre:<\/strong> [Gennadiy translates] I lived on the street for six years\u2014from six to 12. I had big problem in my family. When I was 12 years old, I met the people from church who gave food for us homeless children; and I had decision to be with them in my life. \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>17:00<\/strong>\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\tLater, Pastor Gennadiy, my father adopted. \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Gennadiy:<\/strong> Thank you for this. [Laughter] \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Dennis:<\/strong> And how did your life change as a result joining? [Gennadiy translates] \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Andre:<\/strong> [Gennadiy translates] If don\u2019t adoption\u2014if don\u2019t church\u2014I don\u2019t have chance to be here because\u2014now\u2014 [Andre speaks in English]\u2014I take part in the bicycle tour. [Laughter. Applause] I take part in the bicycle troupe because I want to inspire people to adopt.\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Dennis:<\/strong> Yes! Good for you! [Applause and cheering] \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Andre:<\/strong> Because this chance for children\u2014yes. \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>18:00<\/strong>\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\tI\u2019m now\u2014I am 30 years. Now, I have family\u2014yes. \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Dennis:<\/strong> Are you going to adopt any children? [Gennadiy translates]\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Andre:<\/strong> I want to adopt\u2014yes. This is my dream. I prayed. \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Gennadiy:<\/strong> Can you imagine from six to 12 he was on the street? He had the amazing family. His mother was acrobat\u2014circus acrobat\u2014but something happened with father\u2014nobody knows where is father. After that, his mother start use alcohol, and family destroyed. \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Bob:<\/strong> Yes. \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Gennadiy:<\/strong> When family destroyed, his adult brothers killed himself. His second brothers\u2014his mind was, like, destroyed. He was grown on the street\u2014half-life from six to 12\u2014but now, he\u2019s a worship leader in my church. [Applause] He\u2019s an amazing worship leader! \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>19:00<\/strong>\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Dennis:<\/strong> Well, we didn\u2019t get a chance to explore how this man of faith has chosen a life that matters; but he has a name that he calls his tribe of adopted children. It\u2019s called \u201cPilgrim.\u201d \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Gennadiy:<\/strong> Pilgrim\u2014yes. \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Dennis:<\/strong> Yes. \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Gennadiy:<\/strong> Republic Pilgrim\u2014it\u2019s like a country for homeless children. \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Bob:<\/strong> I love it\u2014The Republic of Pilgrims\u2014isn\u2019t that great? \n\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Dennis:<\/strong> 3,500 children have been through his rehab\u2014and you\u2019ve made a difference in a lot of people\u2019s lives.
